I think it’s more important to see how your erect size is doing. You aren’t having sex flaccid.

How true, you aren’t having sex flaccid. I suppose if you are imaginative, good with your hands and tongue, you could. Sex isn’t all about penetration, even if it is the main course, after the entree and before dessert.

So far, since December 2017, I have not experienced any gains, and my erection size looks the same to me, I doubt I could see 0.5” gain anyhow, and I am thinking of other things than measuring my erect penis. Just how much trauma do you think DIYgrower needs? I have learned that jelqing hurts, my circumcision scar stings from the get go and for an hour afterwards. Pumping, Bathmate, gave me a purplish penis shaft with lots of broken veins, stretching in lots of ways and using an ADS gave me a sore glans. I wrap very carefully, follow instructions for the pump, and use sufficient force yet I have experienced discomfort and some pain. So the OPs idea is not quite right.

Just want to add my voice to the others that mentioned heat. Heat not only enables tissue stretching, it also enables healing and relieves soreness. So using heat before during and after a workout allows a more intense workout with less soreness and risk. If you are considering increased intensity, consider more consistent use of heat as well.

You have made a couple of posts now about struggling with problems in your PE training. Maybe you should start a thread and ask for help?

You also mentioned pumping in the bathmate, using their instructions, doesn’t their instruction say to just pump the thing to max? That is likely to be the cause of your “purple penis”. Pumping without a gauge is not PE, it’s self abuse, like trying to get big muscles by lifting “big heavy rocks” with no idea how much they weigh. If you pump with a gauge you can quantify the force, and the minutes, and make fine adjustments to keep you in that zone where you get reliable gains with minimal skin damage.

I am not struggling. I am doing just fine. Stretches, Jelqs, ADS, Ulis, Horse, whatever I am fine with them. There are a lot of simple stretches like BTC or the fowfers or the rotary or side to side. It is simple stuff. It is just boring to do and takes up your time. The pump works well. I follow the instructions like a good little boy does when his parents are watching him. The purple thing is basically a bruising. I bruise easily wherever it occurs, the penis is no different. I have done more injury to my penis just having conventional everyday heterosexual sex as in torn frenulum, edema, and I once ended up with a black and blue penis and scrotum which lasted 2 weeks. All from normal sex. I don’t buy this over cautious attitude some of you have to pumps without gauges. It is based on people being idiots not understanding what you call P.Is. Look, some idiot will over pump or abuse the pump beyond its recommended usage, so, idiots do that with everything not just pumps. I think I know what my penis can handle using a pump without a gauge.

This thread is about men being too gentle with their PE routine and making no gains. Well men have to learn how far to go with jelqing or stretching or using devices, it is part of the learning curve, pain and discomfort are part of that. Those men are the bearers of their penises and are getting positive and negative feedback on their PE through experience. You can advise them but they have to experience that for themselves.

The goal here is to help men practice PE safely and set forth what we now know are best “safe” practices.

I seem to have a chronic difficulty figuring out how much is “just right” versus “too much”. I remember in the early days there was a VERY distinct aching feeling I would get down there just before the gains came in. I’ve never been able to replicate that feeling in the past few years and ended up taking multiple breaks because of sudden injury.

It always happens so quickly, and on very light exercises like the Newbie Routine. One jelq is A-OK, and the next is a sudden sharp pain. I’m taking it lightly again for obvious reasons, but I always have the cynical thought that I won’t gain anything by reverting to “dainty PE.”

Any advice for differentiating between over training and under training?

I’ve been clamping since August and have no permanent gains. I get a solid 0.5” girth that slowly fades over the next 24 hours but nothing sticks. I’m doing 3 sets with bathmate/ jelqing offered for heat/ rest and Wear a silicone cock ring after.

Maybe my EQ isn’t as good as I think and I need to cut back?
