One month of recovery met / what do you think?

About a month ago, I read these two threads and started to think about the possibility of having an injury …

First injury…rare one too
Injury advice needed

Here’s the condensed version of my story:

I started experimenting with JAIs, and after a couple of weeks, I noticed that I had two straight veins on top of my dick. At first, I didn’t really think much about it because I didn’t think they were veins because they were kind of hard. Plus, I thought it was just part of the PE process, like the enlargement of other veins. They were sometimes noticeable flaccid, but sometimes not. They never hurt or felt uncomfortable in any situation, so I figured that everything was fine.

But I started reading those posts, and some said that it was a thrombosed vein. I figured better safe than sorry and took some time off. But everyone that has had a thrombosed vein noticed some kind of improvement within a week or two.

Now, a month later, my dick is still the same as it was a month ago. Two straight veins and no pain or discomfort. Sometimes visible, sometimes not. After reading a post clarifying JAIs, I now know that I was pulling too hard even though there was no pain or discomfort.

The Questions:
What do you guys think? Is this really an injury?

I’m not itching to start PE again, but I would like to start a MWF program doing maybe 10 minutes of light to medium jelqing because it really helps me with those diamond-cutter erections.

Thanks guys
SS

SS-

This whole subject of veins and arteries needs some clarification with regard to PE.

What I know to be harmless and very likely beneficial is the gradual growth in size of penile vessels. This is often reported and in fact a lot of us like the look of that. Like the veins we can see across the tops of our hands, they are pliable, even if they do stick up. They’re an indication of good, healthy circulation.

I do from time to time, especially with a rock-hard erection, experience a kind of spasm in some vessels. They stand out prominently and are hard to the touch. You cannot actually squeeze one of these closed, even by pressing hard upon it. They are painless. And these rather quickly revert to normal when they are massaged for a minute or two.

Thrombosed veins, though, are a different and serious matter and for the sake of all our our peace of mind, I hope somebody will post to clarify what symptoms thrombosed vessels create and what separates the “thrombosed” condition from normal vessel appearance, including the temorary and apparently harmless “spasm” that I sometimes experience. If this has already been done here, I missed it and apologize. Just direct SS and me to it.

i read those posts and they seem to discuss and give symptoms of what a thrombosed vein is…

I have always had a prominent vein on top? DOes this mean it is a thrombosis?? Its not hard…..but its very prominent

BBS;

I have two of prominent veins now, one running up then left, the other up then right. They never cause me any concern. I believe they offer a little more stimulation during sex.

“Thrombosed” is a whole other ball game. SS and I would like to know the story on that.

Just to try and clear things up....

I want to make a distinction between the top two veins I’m talking about and regular veins:

The regular veins are soft when flaccid and are not straight. These veins are prominent on the surface, with a blue color (which is normal). These have been enlarged since PE.

The two veins on top of my dick are like guitar strings. They are not "on the surface" so-to-speak, like the regular veins. They seem to be non-colored at first until you inspect them closely, which you can see that they are veins. (I have to press in and move my finger around slightly.) They come out completely straight and tight, from the base to the head. One of these veins is usually visible when flaccid, but not always. The other one is almost dead center and is usually not visible, but I can feel it. It feels the same as the other vein as far as tightness goes.

I hope this helps a little bit.

Some people posted that this sounds like thrombosed veins, which is something different from what I read what thrombosed veins are.

But DarkTrick post this link:

Throbosed vein on penis and constant pain - Urology - MedHelp

Which said thrombosis could be slightly painful or painless. But is this really what I have? Even after a month to recover and no change?

Superstroker -

I have some experience as regards thromboses. And i think i have the same thing you are talking about and it is normal. I will check tonight when i get home and post tomorrow.

Are these veins running parallel right down the middle of your dick from body to head, and about 5mm apart?

I’ll check tonight.

Yes. I noticed this morning that one is running straight down the middle, and the second (more visible one) is off to the right about 5mm. They start from the body, and go straight to the head.

If the veins are not hard or stiff to the touch, then you have nothing to worry about. I also found an increase in the size and visibility of veins when I jelqued. I also had a thrombosed vein and it was stiff to the touch.

SS and I have been conferring about this, but for everyone else who’s interested, here’s some of the stuff I’ve read referencing this subject-

Superficial dorsal penile vein thrombosis

Not penile, but informative

Superficial thrombophlebitis

Good, very thorough with links

Important when reading this stuff to distinguish between Superficial Thrombosis and Deep Venous Thrombosis. That latter one scared the hell out of me, mostly because you can die from it (would make an interesting epitaph). What we experience with the "guitar string" syndrome is superficial (whew…)

A lot of literature I came across dealt with varicose veins, I’m guessing the conditions are comparable.

Someone in a posting yesterday or so, mentioned an ointment specifically to treat varicose veins, but I cannot find it (the posting I mean)

Hope this helps -

That thread is titled “Cool Off” in Health Supplements forum.

Guys,

Side question: if a thrombosis is painless how would one know if they have it?

Thanks BBS - that’s where I saw it.

For me it was because all of a sudden I had this taunt, rigid, cord like thing running lengthwise, very visible, even when flaccid. I thought it was a tendon. Note, mine had a “pinchy” stinging feel, but SS reported no pain at all.

and thanks for finding that post.

The veins are tight and straight, like a guitar string. It’s difficult to determine wether or not they are hard because when I press in, all I notice is that they are tight and that they have stayed that way since I quit PE a month ago.

To Jelktoid and anyone who has experienced a thrombosed vein:

Where was your thrombosed vein located? On the top, side? Was it one of the veins that are visibly noticeable on the surface?

How much pain or discomfort was involved?

If it was a thrombosed vein, shouldn’t I have seen some kind of visible improvement in 4 weeks time?

Also, while I never had any pain, I always felt like I needed to stretch him out more than usual to feel more comfortable, but I don’t think that’s really a problem. Unless someone else thinks otherwise.

My experience of thrombed veins

Hi all!

As I have thrombed a vein I´d like to share my experience. Do trust the saftey information. And do not do the hoarses after like 5 weeks as I did. I did burst one of my veins on the top of my dick. It all happened because I sat in my computer room with no lights lit. And I thought that I wasn’t 70% erect , I fel more like 55% or less, so I pushed myself to be around 70-75% instead. As I continued my workout everything seemed to be alright, but when I went downstairs to check my unit in the mirror I saw one purple dot on one of the veins… It has disappeared… It took not long time for me, about three days, and thats quite rare. It may take about 2 weeks upto a couple of months in the worst cases. I do not want to scare you, but I also read that it can remain, and be permanent…

I hope my vein was a superfical one…. If someone has this veinous appearance, I can guide you to where I got mine, and tell if it was a deep or superfical, ok? It goes from the left guitarr string on the top of my dick. About at the middle of that string it divides to two, a little smaller but still very visible vein which goes to the right and upwards….

Is thisone a superfical one? I am worried about getting troubles later on if this clot may occur any problems in the future?

And do you know if the vein repairs and gets stronger at that poit it burst? Like when you brake an arm, it becomes stronger at the place you broke it….

Or if it never becomes 100% good, and may occur in problems later on???

Restarting everything.

mrcow,

We discussed this one before, and I don’t remember it being anything like a thrombosed vein. A 3mm spot is not a thrombosed vein to my knowledge (gleaned from reading not direct experience).

You do mean this injury, right?

<

Mine was on the top and under the surface.

>How much pain or discomfort was involved?<

None. I had no pain. I discovered it while getting ready to jelq. Maybe I was lucky in that the vein softened and went away in about a week. You can tell if it is a hard vein by moving it around and feeling it moving under the skin.
