The "average size" is usually over-estimated. Small guys don't take part in surveys and big guys jump at the chance.

To be logical, an average guy would go for two, and big guy - for one. One more thing, I don’t think you can generalize here. The only thing you can get from the surveys is that when self-measuring guys may push it a little bit further into their fat pads. That’s it.
Average falls somewhere between 5.5BP and 6.5BP and thats just my opinion.

Who needs to argue over a 1/4 inch…We measure closely in PE to keep ourselve motivated. I think most are just over 6” in length and just over 5” in girth. We don’t start seeing above average until we are over 7” in length and 5.5” in girth….

Agreed, my impression is the average is about 6”length and 5”girth. It might be 10% either way, but a bell curve shows a natural spread around these figures in every survey I’ve seen.
