Out with the old, in with the New

Well, as we say good bye and good riddance to 2005, here is a wish to all on Thunders for a prosperous, happy new year. May 2006 be filled with dreams come true, old wounds healed, friendships rekindled, and love redefined.

I for one, am glad to see 2005 go, it was a rough year for me. One of my children decided to believe lies told to him by someone and now we are not speaking. I pray that the new year will be one in which we can find the truth together and rebuild our relationship between parent and child and become friends.

As we approach 2006, I am overjoyed to be a part of this family here at Thunders. It will be 4 years in January since I first stepped through the door here, I don’t regret a moment of it. We have shared joys, we have shared sorrows, we have shared concerns, we have laughed, we have cried, we have shook our heads and said what were they thinking. Yes, we’ve even argued some, not to bad but some. We’ve gained new members, lost a few along the way and we have maintained our integrity through all of it.

So, here is a toast to 2006 :gulp: :gulp: May you be a better year than 2005.

2005 was the hardest year of my life so far; I enjoyed every minute (well, almost) and the minutes I didn’t enjoy I learned from. 2006 will be very different. I’ll be returning to England in a couple of months and building a new life again. What 2006 holds in store I have no idea; I can mould it into whatever I want!

I wish everyone success in all that is important to them, especially those who have made New Year’s resolutions that include PE. May you reach your goals by 2007.

Sigh, I hope that this year will be better. I highly doubt it though, but it’s worth hoping for…
