Poll: Do you measure sitting or standing
MODS: Please move to Main.
Though there are tens of threads on the topic, I have not been able to find a definitive poll asking this question. There was one poll that asked what the correct way to measure was, but that is a very different question and most people did not vote in it. I think it is a very important question. It skews BPEL numbers by up to an inch, and more commonly by about half an inch. Now, since we all measure consistently it is not crucial to measuring personal progress, but it is crucial when we compare to averages and distributions.
Who knows what % of the Kinsey survey measured sitting and standing? Who knows what % of our own survey (Pre PE length) measured sitting?
If we could combine the results from this poll here with the results of the length poll above, we could have a more meaningful average number and a more meaningful distribution. It kind of hit me like a ton of bricks that I have been measuring sitting all this time, while many others have been reporting standing. It is a rude awakening but I’d like to know exactly where I stand to recalibrate personal goals.
Thanks for voting. If we get enough participation I will recalibrate the Tplace length poll for both sitting and standing to give a better comparison for everyone.
