Priorities. Remember this?

Priorities. Remember this?

I was doing some hanging one night, and I ran out of things to read. So I did a search for the old PE forums on Ezboard to look over some old, and very old posts. I found the 2nd post I ever made at PE forums. It was about priorities and being frustrated that I kept making PE my number one priority.

You should see some familiar faces in there. Here it is: Dated (8/28/01 8:50 pm)Time Constraints/Priorities

Reflecting on it, some things are more balanced. I don’t change my whole schedule around PE, like I used to in the past. Its more like a puzzle, in that everything has its own piece and its own certain place on the board that makes the puzzle complete. Each piece is as important as the next, because without the missing piece, you can’t put together a puzzle.

PE isn’t my clear cut number one priority like it used to be, but its up there as one of the important things that are apart of my life. I can’t get around it, and I probably won’t until I reach my goals. They’re my final goals, 9x6. I see the end of the tunnel of this long PE career. Having a big dick is very important to me, but I’ve achieved that, but I’m hung up on the numbers… on the goals. When I took that 7 week break from PE, I realized a few things. I was missing out on alot of things. Even just the freedom of going out, and not having to worry about getting home to get your PE routine for the day was, refreshing. I got back into better shape physically, which made it obvious to me that while PE was having a positive effect on one aspect of my life, it was also having a negative effect. Other areas of my life were suffering, not too badly though. My mind set wasn’t clear either. If I found a girl that was gf material, my first thought would be, if she was taking away from my PE time. How am I going to get my PE done if she takes up apart of my day? PE, along with working out, my career, education, friends and family are whats important to me. Those are my pieces to my puzzle, you can say.

Like Dance told me in the post, theres always enough time to get things done, you just need proper time management. We waste alot of our time doing things that aren’t important to us, but we do it because we’re lazy, unmotivated, or we procrastinate. Atleast recently I can now do hanging while studying, reading, or just when I need a mental break. If we actually focused on things that were important to us, and try to excel in those areas, we’d probably be better off.

YG, I just finished talking with the wife about how I could sign up with the gym, actually workout, PE, work and take care of the children and home. I generally work third shift(night) so things are tough to begin with. We worked out a schedule and it will work, if I will just work it. I firmly believe that overall physical fitness has a direct impact on PE success and hope to prove myself right in the coming months. Thanks for the help you gave me this week. Really motivational.

YGuy,

I think this is a great post. I have been following you for years and you are a hero of mine. I think yours is the Classic American Story. You came from behind but with hard work and determination, you achieved your goal.

In terms of time efficiency, it is amazing how much time people waste.

It may sound silly but it can be very useful to keep a log of how one spends their time for a few days. Log all the little five min breaks that turned into an hour. The time wasted just chit chatting with someone who sits near you.

I worked with a girl who put in an eight hour day but got more done than just about anyone else. She wasn’t there to make friends. She brought her lunch and a few snacks and they were healthy. She spent the last 15 min of each day planning out what she was going to do the next day. She was realistic and she stuck to it.

Cheers,
PS

You and me have been talking about this for years, PE is like a jealous high maintenance girlfriend she takes up a lot of time. I should be at the gym right now but I decided to hang.

I know how it goes, Im beginning to get a bit tubby around the gut now, but I spend most of my time reading the forum instead of doing any actual PE!

If God is all powerful, then the devil must be nothing more than a darkness in the mind of God, however if the devil is something real and seperate, then perfection is impossible and God cannot exist except in the aspirations of fallen angels.

Super E, I would waste alot of time reading here too, but I’d still get my workouts in. The shitty thing is, I’d end up doing my PE routines at 2am, when I could have gotten it done much earlier in the day. I’m a procrastinator, but I still get it done. My time management still needs some work. Atleast now, I can do some hanging, while reading online.
