Shedding the Snake: Peeling to Remove Discoloration

Those who don’t have hemosiderin staining shouldn’t peel. Usually, stopping the offending activity for long enough takes care of things. Hydroquinone may help or not. I suspect that if anything the massage from regularly applying a fading cream does more good than ingredients in the cream. Read about Firegoat Rolls here.

Hemosiderin staining — what I and others here have had — is a different story. Hydroquinone won’t help it. Nor will massage, mild exfoliants or acids (alpha-hydroxy), “wrapping to remove discoloration,” and so on. Been there, tried that. Hemosiderin staining is similar to a tatoo. It is extremely long-lasting (many years), perhaps permanent. Chemical peeling will remove it.

I definitely have hemosiderin. I also have much darker pigmented skin on my wang than the rest of my body. But they’re two separate things. I’d primarily like to get rid of the hemosiderin. I tried the wart remover before and wasn’t too wild about it. I basically found that when I applied it all over it would seem to only “penetrate” in small regions so that basically I’d sting like crazy in small areas but nothing would be happening in the vast majority of area. Thus, I’d have to wash the stuff off to not have it on too long on 3% of the area I’d like to treat, but then those tiny areas would shed and be way too sensitive to any additional wart remover for a long time whereas the other 97% would still need to be treated but there was basically no practical way of doing it without hitting the areas that were too sensitive. It just didn’t work well for me. I think it might of if I’d had something strong enough to “penetrate” everywhere the first time, but 20% SA wart remover didn’t.

Has anyone ever found any other kind of chemical peel kit or anything that might be stronger or just generally better suited any other way to this kind of thing than wart remover?

Have you tried a product with hydroquinone?

What I had was a nasty discoloration after years of stretching and high pressure on the skin. I think everybody has the wrong perception of the way hydroquinone works. Everybody thinks this cream just fades aways the darkness and lighten the skin. WRONG. The way it works, describing what I saw in my own cawk, after days of applying it, my pole went like a reddish-brown color, like a bad sun burn, without the pain and burning feeling of the sun. After about 6-7 days, a thick layer of skin started peeling off; no pain, no discomfort; the new pink skin was underneath. And the most impressive part, this thick layer had absolutely all the black color on it; it took it completely. My perception is like if this cream somehow is able to suck the melanin from underneath and peel it off with the skin.

The pink color of the new skin lasted for about a week. Now, my whole cawk is as white as it was when I came to this dimension of time and space. I am trying it now on my glans to increase sensitivity.

And I’ll buy one more cream from that ebay link just to have on hand for the future, because since it works perfectly, I am positive it will be banned by the government in the future.

Too late. I did it today. lol. But thank you very much for the advise. Because of the delicate skin in the glans, I will only do this application and see how the skin react tomorrow and so on. So far today no visible side effects.

Yes, I’ve tried it. Hydroquinone inhibits melanin production, which won’t do anything for iron stains deep down. Creams containing it aren’t supposed to produce peels. You had an unusual reaction to something in the product. Your description is of a peel similar to what I and others have used wart remover to accomplish.

Yeah, that frustrated me too. Sort of like using a shotgun to hit a small target and usually missing. I wondered if the additive in wart remover that forms the skin or coating was to blame, but others using straight acid have also had the problem. I just kept shooting, while allowing healing in between peels, until I got all the remaining darker areas.

The area I burned the deepest on the first go (circ scar to head) didn’t have any remaining dark patches after the initial burn. I agree that in your case you might want to try something a little stronger.

So that means my results don’t come from hydroquinone?
And now that you mention that, interestingly enough, I have a cream I bought a long time ago at walmart. I tried it, and saw no effects from the cream. Now that I see it, it says it contains hydroquinone 2%. So there are two possibilities here. One, that cheap cream from wlamart was a scam and didn’t have the ingredients it was advertising, or hydroquinone doesn’t have great effects on PE discoloration, therefore my results came from a different ingredient in the new cream.

This product I am using contains a bunch of stuff. I don’t have it near right now, but I’ll try to post the list of ingredients tomorrow.

I assume my type of discoloration is the same we all PE’ers get, so if it works for me it should work for the rest in a similar way. Whatever this thing contains, is a miracle cream.

Yep, unless you’re somehow supersensitive or allergic to it. More likely, another ingredient in the cream disagreed with you. It fried your skin. You said your skin turned dark and peeled off about a week later. That’s what I accomplished using wart remover. Peeling works.

Your experience goes to show how varying sensitivities can be, even to products that aren’t intended to harm skin. Wart remover turned out to be about right for me, though overall I found it to be slightly on the weak side. Others can’t get a decent burn from it. On the flip side, a few have had their skin fried using products that aren’t supposed to harm skin at all, as in your case.

I can’t overemphasize the importance of testing to determine your sensitivity when using peeling agents. Dip a toe in the water, then later another toe or your foot. Assess and proceed accordingly. Blindly diving in head first is asking for trouble.

Hobby, I think I’m going to have to try a Jessner’s or TCA peel (or both, like this product ) the next time the time’s right for having my wang out of service for a week. Don’t know when that’ll be, but anyway, just thought I’d share my thoughts on what might work better than wart remover for something with my skin. In addition to the different peel chemical, I think I might also try the thing of applying Retin-A for a couple weeks before-hand to make the skin more uniform/less prone to "hot spotting" during peel time.

Be careful and work up gradually. Retin-A or maybe even an alpha-hydroxy lotion used for several weeks might help prep the skin, but combining different variables at once confuses matters. It would be interesting to see if such a prep helps wart remover work better for you.

Post the results of whatever you try. Err on the side of caution.

Have you considered a TCA or Jessner’s peel?

I bought Dr. Scholls brand wart remover and also corn & callus remover. Both smell really really strong… think paint thinner/nail polish remover. Does the Compound W smell like this as well? The Dr. Scholls brand I found at walmart was 17% salicylic acid while the CW was 30%. Considering I’ve never done a peel before I went with the former; but it smells like it’s going to dissolve my dick on contact! Is it normal for this stuff to smell this strong?

As promised, here are the ingredients of the product I’m using.

Day 11: The open sores are still tender. I lube my unit up with ointment and pull a baby sock over it. The problem now is by the end of the day my unit is stuck to the sock and I have to take a shower running water on the sock to get it unstick. The water stings the hell out of it until you can get used to it. This sometimes causes the sores to bleed. I tried lubing my unit and rolling a condom over it, but that is difficult when your unit does want to cooperate, but once it is on, the condom literally falls apart within an hour and a half. Morning wood is bad as well since it cracks the sores and that feels like razor blades. By the looks of it, I don’t see myself healing anytime soon. I bought some silk boxer and cut some strips to that I can wrap it around my already lubed penis, I will then hold that in place with the sock, I will be starting this tomorrow. I have to do this because I work during the day. At night I sleep naked to let the air dry it out, but care needs to be taken not to let anything graze my penis. If thing do not look better by Monday, I will consider seeing a doctor.
