If we in the Americas follow Southern European fashion trends, we men are all going to be wearing trimmer-cut slacks and pants soon. Maybe a wake-up call to us - So. Europeans are seldom over-weight, or by much. Men in Southern Europe look good in their more tailored trousers and a heck of a lot of them show obvious bulges. So what is wrong with some bulge I am wondering? There cannot be any secret anymore that men have exterior genitalia, even among the very young and the very old, from whom - I guess - we have been hiding our stuff during these years?
I do like the European fashion. Basically, that’s the way I’ve dressed for many years. (I also lived in Europe for 13 years.) And the “designer” men’s stuff in this country is much more in line with what you say above. Hence my new Kenneth Cole trousers!
I also have no problems with showing off what I have. I think I’ve always done this, with my chest, or whatever. But I do like the subtle approach. I like this with women as well. A woman who shows her stuff off with style and sophistication is great. But a woman who looks like a tart (or like Briteny Spears!) just isn’t my cup of tea.
So bulge is fine. But I would be careful about being obvious about this. I think that loose fitting casual pants, or sweats, are perhaps best for this: Things shake and show, but there is no obvious bulge. I have a few pairs of beach-type ultra casual drawstring pants that I go commando in. They always get me looks. But nothing is obvious with them.
Anyhow, I did buy these Kenneth Cole trousers. So I’m tempted. I just don’t know if I’ll keep them. :)
