Side Effects of PE/Penis Damage

Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions and need input from people. I have been reading a lot online about PE, and some sites/sources/people say that PE(jelqs in particular) can damage the penis and lead to impotence. Is this true? PE is good, but its not worth being impotent. Is there a serious danger of impotence from jelqing or power jelqing? If so, do you think hand jelqing is safer than power jelqing because there is less pressure? Sorry if my questions seem naive, but reading those things worried me.

If done properly and no overdoing it you will be fine. The idea is to build the tolerence or strength of the organ up first. I suggest you read, read, and then reread. Start small than work your way up. Luvdadus wrote an excellent starter routine. I suggest you read it.

Tons of guys want to jump right in super heavy and fuck themselves up. That is where it goes wrong. They start out doing advanced exercises like erect bends or Horse 440s and get screwed. Like painting a car you must lead the most time in preperation. Like sanding out the sand scratches before the primer goes on, it is a lengthy but excellent investment.

I have never heard of going impotent from PE. Some numbness or a thombosis of the vein on your dick maybe.

In conclusion take it easy and all is well. Rush and as they say haste makes waste. Work intelligently and the rewards will be yours.

I have been hand jelqing for half an hour 5 days a week for about a week and a half and just started using the Power Jelq instead of hands, also for 30 min. a day, 5 days a week. Do you think this is alright? In what I read they said that jelqing could lead to a buildup of scar tissue in the caperna cavernosa which could lead to impotence/erection problems. Also, do you think that jelqing could lead to a decrease in sensitivity?

One of the more scientific doctorly types can give you an excellent and better respected answer and opinion than I could. I am sure one of them will chime in today for us.

Overall it does sound Okay to me. Some people don’t like the power-jelq while others do. So that is a personal preference at best. I do have one question, where did you see all these reports and claims at? Was it on here, another forum, a pay site? I am just curious and this may help guide us to the answer.

I wouldn’t recommend using the power jelk, it will put too much pressure on your dorsal nerve. Use your hands but not too forcefully. Do it for thirty minutes non stop with out ejaculating in the morning after using hot compresses on your dink for atleast five minutes before hand.

rOad_hOgg, could you please elaborate on the buisness of the dorsal nerve, does this mean that it will decrease sensitivity or cause damage? I would like others opinion on this, not that I doubt you, but I would like to know if anyone else thinks its better and less risky to stick with hand jelqs.

As r0ad_h0gg said, the PJ can be hard on the dorsal nerve. It’s up to you whether or not to use it, but if you choose to, it’s probably best to put the pressure on the sides instead of the top and bottom. I agree with TT as well; the possibility of damage exists with PE, but if you exercise precaution and use common sense, you can surely have all of the benefits of PE without any negative side effects. I definitely can’t blame you for being worried, and you should never just throw caution to the wind and try to do too much too quickly, but PE can be and usually is very safe. If you check out the Injuries/Treatments Forum, you will notice that the number of injuries are FAR less than the number of members here who practice PE. Furthermore, almost every one of those injuries is something temporary at that. Be careful for sure, but don’t let something you read (especially something of which you know neither the validity or the circumstances) keep you from doing what you want to do. Hope this helps bro.

Edit: To answer your questions about the dorsal nerve, it is the largest nerve bundle in the penis, and it is located close to the coronal ridge (just behind the head) on the top of the penis and is fairly close to the surface of the skin (this is what is known as the dorsal nerve, but it connects to the Pudendal nerve which is deeper in the penis). Damage to this group of nerves causes loss of sensitivity, but you will notice numbness before a total loss of sensation would ever occur. You can’t really completely avoid damaging nerves, but nerves all throughout your body are damaged on a regular basis. Permanent damage occurs when the nerve is severed to the point that it cannot repair itself.

Anytime you do any kind of body modifications like PE or weight lifting or anything you take the chance of hurting yourself and PE is no different. What makes it harder is it’s our little buddy where talking about. In almost 4 years of PE I have had no serious problems and I have a much bigger dick and much better erections and much more self control during sex. PE is dangerous but think of it this way if you went to the gym and it was your first day and you knew bench pressing made your chest muscles grow so you loaded 400 pounds on the bar and proceeded to hurt your self, now with PE it’s the same way you have to start out slow and work up slowly and should really think twice about doing advance exercises that maybe even Vets shouldn’t do. The most important thing is to listen to Mr Winky if he feels pain that means stop right away. If you think long term with PE and don’t expect to get results overnight you will be fine most likely but who knows for sure what long time PE really does all I can say that after almost 4 years I’m better than ever.

I guess that’s an individual thing, and people have different tolerance,
but I have bee PE’ing for 11 months, and last week while jelqing, there was blood coming out of my urethra. My erections have been weaker, the gains have been slow, so what’s wrong?

My answer is that my dick has been overworked. I’ve done all the excercises until discomfort and exhaustion, taking two days off each week.

My dick hasn’t been healthy. I’ve read about all the gainers who claim that their erections are harder than ever, and I didn’t want to realize that I overdid it. Because I want gains so badly.

So my question is, how much force do gainers apply doing different excercises? It’s not easy to answer maybe, but how does it feel during and after a workout? Do you have any gains to speak of after 11 months? I know it’s hard to take a break, I for one haven’t done it yet, but in your case it would seem to make sense. Remember your goals…they cannot be achieved if you permanently injure yourself.

It isn’t bad and it doesn’t matter. There have been several threads on that subject recently. Try a search for “masturbation AND gains” to get a list that contains some of them.
