I just started back on my clamping routine on a determined quest for girth. I’m at 4.75 girth right now and want to get up to 6. I use a combination of cable clamps and the air clamp. I’ve noticed a few things since I’ve started:

1. It seems like the depth of my shaft increases more than the width of my shaft during and after a clamp session. Before a clamping session I measure at 5 1/8” of girth and 1 3/4” across. After my session I am up to 5 7/8” of girth but only 1 7/8” across. My circumference increases by 3/4”, but my width only increases by 1/8”. Anyone else notice a bigger increase in depth rather than width, or how to put more emphasis on increasing the width?

2. My head get very engorged when I clamp, however it returns back to it’s normal state after a clamping session and my shaft is still very plump. This makes my head look very small in comparison. I was hoping that the head size would increase along with the shaft size. Is this also a common problem? I guess I will do some head exercises on the side.

3. The glans of my penis is somewhat soft now when I get an erection. Maybe this is normal, since I don’t remember how hard it used to be, but it seemed odd to me. If I put a cock ring on, the glans is hard as a rock, but without it, it is just kind of mushy. Perhaps I am over training, although my penis is well conditioned.

All of your complaints are related to the corpus spongiosum (CS) which contains the erectile tissue surrounding the urethra (urine tube). It is not surrounded by the strong tunica albuginea and can expand more than the corpora cavernosa (CC) which make up the majority of your width. The CS also is a conduit for blood between the glans and the penile bulb (inside, surrounded by the bulbocavernosus muscles - contracted during the Kegel exercise). The CS and glans will expand more easily during the clamping episode, but tend to return to near their original size afterward because the tissues are very elastic.

Try not to Kegel during your session as that only pumps more blood into the CS and glans. Increase the blood flow into the CC with erotic stimulation or masturbation like stroking to stimulate the inflow.

IMO, Kegels will pump blood to both CC and the CS. Im not sure if the dick will actually discriminate the source of blood.

The Kegel exercise in men is mainly focused on the bulbocavernosus (also called bulbospongiosus) muscles that wrap around the bulb of the penis which is a direct extension of the corpus spongiosum. Squeezing the BC muscle squeezes the bulb and pushes blood into the CS and thus the glans (head) of the penis. There is no direct connection or blood pathway to the corpora cavernosa.

However, voluntarily contracting one pelvic muscle generally makes others nearby contract as well. Thus the ischiocavernosus muscles, which surround the ends of the crura (feet) of the CC, are also squeezed during a Kegel and some blood is moved from the crura into the bodies of the CC. The size difference is significant (see this illustration) and I suspect the BC moves more blood than the IC.
