I have been wearing an ADS for two months. I wear it for 8-12 hours per day on a medium-light tension without rest days (I figure that half the day not wearing it, when I’m asleep and other times, is enough rest). Before I started to wear the ADS, my expectations were to gain 1 cm per month. Unfortunately, my gains have only been 1/4th of what I expected: I’ve gained only 0.5 cm in 2 months. At a rate of only half a centimeter every two months, it’ll take me 6 more months before I reach my desired goal of 7.5”.

I stretch my penis for 15 minutes per day. I have a heating pad that I use beforehand. The reason why I only spend 15 minutes on various stretching exercises is because I figure that wearing the ADS for 8-12 hours is already plenty of stretching.

But what I haven’t been doing is jelqing.

Several months before I got the ADS, I expirimented a little with PE. Well, I injured myself with jelqing. Though I’ve since recovered, it’s something that I don’t want to do again.

My question is this..

How important is jelqing to PE in general? And how important has jelqing been to you personally? I feel like my slow gains have been due to the absence of any jelqing. I’m thinking about starting a jelq routine.. But the injury in the past from jelqing is giving me second thoughts.

Also, I thought that jelqing might not be the case, but masturbation. I masturbate once a day, typically (but I’ve been considering limiting masturbation to only once a week). From what I’ve seen, people who generally don’t masturbate during PE, like westsidetoni, gain a lot quicker than people who do masturbate.

Well, just to start off, if you want to discuss if masturbation hinders gains, don’t. At least not here because there are dozens of similar threads.

On to other things - 0.5 cm in 2 months are not slow gains. If you want to know what slow gains are, search a bit and you will find a lot of hard gainers who went through a few months of hardcore PE for a gain of 0.5 cm.
And I don’t think it’s realistic to hope to gain 1 cm per month. You are thinking of PE as a race, while it’s more of a marathon. Think about it - 0.5 cm in two months would make 3 cm in a year. And what is a year of PE to get yourself a perfect dick compared to your whole life?

Now, about jelqing. You shouldn’t underestimate it’s worth. It is great for penile health, and helps with gains. Try to incorporate at least 5 to 10 minutes per day, or at least a few times a week.

What kind of injury did you have from jelqing?

All of my early gains came from the Newbie Penis Enlargement Routine, and that’s primarily stretching and jelqing, so jelqing has been very important to me personally. I continue to jelq and stretch now in conjunction with pumping.

Opinions vary on what effect, if any, masturbation has on gains. There is the additional fine point of whether it’s masturbation or ejaculation that affects gains. Personally, I refrain from ejaculation for some number of hours after PE, but I acknowledge that there is a considerable divergence of opinion on this subject.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have gained almost a cm in 1 month, and I expect that gains will now come slow. But don’t beat your dick up, what good is a limp dick no matter how big it is?

You may get gains in the start, but they will slow down for most..

When I started, (before Thunder’s for about a month), jelqs hurt. I didn’t get an injury, but that was just luck.

For me it took a while to learn how my penis wants to be jelqed, and really I am still learning.

Jelqing is the heart of PE in my opinion. People gain length and girth from jelqing and it has shown to be one of the msot effective excercises.

Funny. I dropped off here for awhile, got an ads (penismaster) and started doing the exact same thing as you. I logged on today for the first time in months to ask the same question! After reading around, and messing with the jelq, I think I’m going to start working it in every other day.

It is hard to state the importance of jelqing since the newbie routine combines that with stretching.

Personally I have cut jelqing in my session to 5 minutes and still am gaining.

I’m planning on hanging, but I am going to use jelqing to help restore blood flow, nothing more.

My logic is jelqing can also add girth and right now I’m focused on length only.
