Weeks ago I read this thread, posted a few comments / questions and then went out and bought some golf weights and gave it a go.
I have 4 of the weights and have been stretching with them (as directed) once a day for approximately 20 minutes. (i.e. 2 sets with all 4 weights)
I also have taken to carrying one of the weights in my bag that I take to work. I have been able to sneak in a 8-10 minute session or 2 when I use the head.
Very pleased … This gives a much different fatigue than hanging. Now that I have been working at it for a couple weeks, I can understand why it has come to be known as a girth exercise.
Starting (10 / 2011): 6.50 BPEL, 5.50 MEG
Current: 7.50 BPEL, 6.00 MEG
Goal: 8.50 BPEL 6.50 MEG
