What is the secret to PE longevity?

What is the secret to PE longevity? Why is it some guys can’t stick to a routine and some can? Why do some guys sign up and than disappear in several month? And why do some of us like myself just seem to stay and stick with a program and make impressive gains. I think the secret is being active and staying involved in the forum and the PE community. Also being competitive in the real world helps in the PE world, while I know I will never have the biggest dick on the forum and I won’t be the strongest guy at the gym I always seem to be motivated into improving myself.

So my advice to you new guys is get involved and make some friends on the forum and before you know you will be checking into the forum for way more than PE which in turn will keep you coming to a PE forum and hopefully keep your interest and motivation levels up.

So if you feel you have something to add to this great forum than join in and get involved! Feel free to add what motivates all you guys to keep on coming back to Thunders and also to keep on PE’ing.

Hi Dino,

The answer is simple and you answered it within your post, “I always seem to be motivated into improving myself”. Life has a habit of getting in the way of self-improvement, therefore you must make self-improvement a pivotal part of your life, not a chore, to succeed.

Gains.

04: NBP 5.5, EG 5. 08: NBP 7 EG 5.25. Current: NBP 6.5 EG 5.25

Yeah, I’m fairly competitive too, into self-improvement as well. I run fairly regularly, like running PE just becomes part of my life. I heard a study recently that said it takes on average 20-25 times for a specific activity to feel habitual and part of your life.

03/07: BPEL - 7", EG - 5.5" Vol. - 242cm (NBP)

04/08: BPEL - 8", EG - 5.85" (6.25" at base) Vol. - 316cm (+30%)

GOAL: BPEL - 8.75", EG - 7" Vol. - 512cm (+111%)

Nice thread.

I have the same your beliefs, Dino : a) it depends on the way the given guy is - many successfull PEer’s are competitive men, who get results in most of their activities (work, hobby or whatever);
2) being active on this forum and reading the more you here can is a great PE supplement.

I’d throw in desire. I’m rarely unsuccessful at achieving something I really want. But anything worthwhile takes work and desire is the fuel that keep me at it.

I think you nailed it, Dino; it’s all about motivation.

No matter how many compliments I’ve received about technique, performance or my current size I will always remember that first girl laughing and telling me how small it was. That memory is simply seared into my brain. Funny that I can’t even remember her name properly after all these years. Now that I’m much closer to my final size I have to say that my motivation is less ‘damn her’ and more ‘I just want to get this over with’ so I can switch to a maintenance routine.

A mild mental illness probably helps.

Jelq my boy, jelq like the wind.

A positive mind set helps to get anything out of life that you want.

I agree, plenty of guys have posted crediting their PE success to having mild or not so cases of OCD.

Running a Massive Co-Front.

I agree. It’s all about self-motivation. Personally, I’ve always been self-driven and goal oriented.

I think one of the things left out so far is injuries. I think some people that get injuries decide that this is not for them, or that it is not possible to successfully do PE. Thus, they get discouraged and don’t come back. A lot of that can be contributed to them not taking the time to read and gather the correct information they need to be successful, and then jumping into a program too fast, only to get injured right off the bat.

Other than that, I would have to say gains. If people aren’t getting anything out of it, they tend to give up fast.

I would agree with that, I’m sure a lot of people who get hurt don’t say anything and just disappear. But I still think that the guy who can stick to a project and not lose interest fast will be the guy who can stick it out and get gains.

That’s why I suggest staying active on the forum so when your going through a low interest point or your put off about slow gains or lack of gains being part of a community that centers around PE will help get you passed those spots. The forum always keeps me coming back because I pretty much have heard it all and done it all when it comes to PE and honestly maybe something new and interesting comes along for me PE related every six months.

So why come to the forum then? Because if I didn’t my interest in PE would decline. This forum with all it’s other non PE related sub forums keeps me entertained and I have made true life friends and many online friends and we have an interest in each other life’s and this is where we meet discuss life issues it has become my neighborhood pub. And while I’m at this neighborhood pub the favorite subject of the pub is PE and while helping out a newbie it keeps me thinking about PE and active in it.

I would have to agree with being slightly insane helps also:)

Another piece of advice that has worked for me is “Just to it” Don't” think so freaking much. It’s just like working out at the gym if you wait for your favorite machine instead of hoping on that other machine and getting to work your wasting time and with any work out you want to limit time in between sets. When I’m at the gym I’m an animal who goes mostly by instinct on my work out I like my workout to flow with no more than a minute between sets. So I’m constantly changing it up and trying new things because if someone is on the bench that day I grab the dumbbells etc etc.

With PE almost anything you do is better than nothing so if you don’t have a stretcher than manual stretch and if you can’t afford a hanger than make a wench. If your too tired to jelq than strap on your extender why you watch TV or check out the forum. Don’t have time what about that hour you just killed looking at porn or reading the forum? Or watching some dumb ass TV show?

We have guys always looking for the easy way out with PE like chemical PE or the latest and greatest penis pill or the program that promises you 3 inches gain in just 10 minutes a day. The only way you change the size of your penis is with hard work and extreme dedication. Just think about what you are doing you are changing your penis destiny. Don’t get me wrong I would love to pop a pill and grow dick:) .

Consistent gains makes it easy. Any gain.

Once the gains dry up, its easy to fall out.
