Where can I find an ADS?

I want to start using an ads (preferably a cheap one with weights). My problem is I can not find golf weights. I’ve been looking for 2 weeks now and I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I read they should be in wal-mart but I checked three wal-marts including one of those super center ones.

I really want to start using one as I feel conditioned enough to start. I was wondering if anyone could recommend something like maybe where to find golf weights or maybe I could use nuts and bolts or something.

If you have any ideas please share I would greatly appreciate it.

Any interest in a silicone ADS?

You guys should have Golftown in ontario, right? Or Sports Experts? SportChek?

WllMarts no longer carry the little red Swing Weights here in Las Colinas. Just as well, they are pretty worthless, too small and they pinch, especially if you wear more than four of them. A whole stack of them don’t weigh as much as one or two of the lead peweights.

I did find some new golf club weights in a sporting goods store. These are much nicer, rubber coated, look like little free-weights or barbell weights. They’re a little pricey, about $8.00 each. They’re still not as heavy as Monty’s lead weights. I didn’t buy any, because the hole looked kind of small, but could probably be slid on with lube or talcum powder.

Ironically, the name of the sporting goods store was, Dicks.

Thanks for your advice on pinch Big Girtha. I will try to find a store named Dicks or maybe try a Rona when I can find one!

I will also check Golftown in Ontario.

I am interested in an ADS as long as it gives a nice stretch and u can increase it’s weight.

Do you think ads weights might be good for someone like me four months in to wear through the day?

Me too gainer keep us up if it works and will do the same.

I’m curious as to how much weight/tension should be used with an ADS?

I believe weight varies by experience. For example someone new to ADS might just use 1 golf weight while a veteran might use all the golf rings he can find!

So I am going to attempt a home made ADS with using door knobs for weight. I found some really heavy door knobs at Wal-mart. If I can not find golf weights I will attempt with those heavy doorknobs :D !

Trailer-hitch balls are pretty heavy. Never figured how to attach one, though. Maybe someone at UHaul would know.

Actually I’m going through a similar thing, been using fishing weights instead of golf weights as they are easier for me to get hod of. With a bit of filing I can get them on my unit. Because they are lead I wear an autox sleeve to stop skin contact. It’s working quite well. I’m working on a prototype hinged version of about 6 of them soldered together so they’re easier to get on an off. Hope to post some pics in the next couple of weeks. You could get a pipe coupler but they are very expensive

I get all my stuff on eBay. There is tons of stuff on there, everything from silicone tubing for clamping to ADS. I got the Dahan for under $50 and it is the most comfortable one I have used. I love it.
