I double checked my tape this morning, it is accurate. I have also gotten back the .25” girth I thought I had lost, so I guess it was just a phase.

Girth can be fleeting at times, to lose some of it all you have to do is drink down a pot of Colombian coffee.

My sewing tape measure is 1/8 of an inch out all the way along according to a metal tape measure!!
Brass end piece is intact and measuring tape is reasonably new, will check with another measuring device, but I may have just gotten a free 1/8. Thanks kingpole.

Not yet. But I think mine is correct.

The one I’ve been using is made of fiberglass:)
It’s accurate to the wooden ruler I compared it to:)
My measuring tape is 1/8” off in contrast to my clothing measuring tape.
So either my girth is smaller :( or my length is a tad bit longer :)

A vinyl tape will lose it’s accuracy over time.
Vinyl is not a good material to make a measuring tape with at all!!
