Any news in the hanger world?

Hi all,

Old school hanger that’s been out of the game for a few years checking in.

I’m just curious if there has been any changes in the science of hanging in the last years? What type of hangers are people using? Is the Bib still considered the industry standard? How many sets are people hanging? Low weights? High weights?

I’d love to get back into hanging as it’s what gave me the most results, but not sure if I can commit now. I should add that part of the reason I was successful is that I simply became very serious about consistency when hanging.

I’m with you Ren - been out of the hanging game for many years now - at this time, I don’t even know how long I’ve been out. I just logged in at Bib’s for the first time in forever and saw 26 messages, all from 2010

I started pumping recently and to be honest, I don’t see the benefit. All of my gains came from hanging, so Im thinking about returning. Anyway, visiting Bib’s, I don’t see anything new.

I decided to hang today and clamp. I have to hit my goal! I just don’t have the time I used to when I made all my gains.


Serious starting point: Nov. 2, 2009/BPEL 5.75 x 4.75 inches.

Current BPEL 7 1/2 x 5.5 inches.

Goal: BPEL 8 x 6 inches. Hell, if I hit 8, I'm going for 9!

I remember you.

I will probably resume hanging in 2018. I currently don’t have any privacy, but will definitely hang again as soon as I have the opportunity. :)

I think that 3-4 months of consistent hanging is enough for me to reach my goals (less than an inch).

If I ever work from home again, I’ll hang like I used to, which was how I made all my gains. I have 1/2” to my goal and to be honest, I don’t know if I’ll reach it. Oddly enough, the few times I have hung, I’ve gained (nothing impressive, but gains nonetheless), so I don’t know why I don’t just do it again more consistently.

Sounds like we have the same goals and experiences. I’m also looking for 1/2 “. It’s not that much, IMO. In fact, I’ve already had it in the past, but lost it.

Hanging is the only thing that ever really worked for me length wise. But it might simply be due to the amazing consistency I seem to be able to put in when doing it. It’s easier to skip a stretching session.

I love hanging and that’s where all my gains came from. I tried pumping and that was a waste of time and money. Fortunately I didn’t spend that much on pumping accessories.

I’m pretty sure all future gains will be mostly tunica since my lig gains are maxed. And tunica work SUCKS. If I hang again, I’ll be sure to switch up with multiple angles and keep clamping after each hanging session. I know Bib suggests against it, but I found it leaves me looking quite nice down there.

Weirdest thing ever happened.

I hid my PE stash in a hidden compartment under my couch and it’s stayed there for quite some time now. In that same bag, I had my Bib Starter with Theraband. I wanted to check in on my equipment tonight and to my despair I found that the Theraband had completely melted and engulfed my Bib Starter! I’m no chemist and I have no idea what’s happened, but I guess it must have gotten hot there over the summer. But it was still soft.

Like this grey sticky mass all over my previous Bib. I’ve managed to get rid of most of it, but it’s still glazed with this stuff, so I’m wondering if I just get a new hanger instead.

Got in touch with Bib and I’m ordering a new starter tonight! :)

Considering getting back into the game as it seems I’ll be spending a lot of time at home for the next 6 months.

I will most likely start hanging with my Bib Starter and supplement with an ADS/Extender.

I haven’t taken accurate measurements, but I believe I’m approximately. 7” BPEL now. My goal is also 8”. I think I can make it in 6-12 months being fully deconditioned now.

Hanging very actively right now. Getting in about 40 to 60 sets a week and seeing good gains.

I hang with a homemade/modified captain’s wench. Hanging really seems to have stayed the same over the years which is a testimony to it’s power I think.

Stick with the basics and results will follow for most guys.

Curious about your planned routine and upcoming results Renholder!

I started hanging last week with a homemade set up (Captains Wench style) at 0.5kg for about 30 - 60m a day in sets that last around 10-15m.

Currently don’t want to splash out on a Bib hanger unless I find gains with a home made set up. Though I seem to have trouble with anything ≥ 1.0kg staying on. So not sure how likely it is that I will see gains tbh. Any hangers with foreskin got any tips?
