Best way of hanging, some ideas

Yes, as an outer seal. But the problem is to keep the glans from expanding (too much) - and a condom is very pliable. So I think joe_smith is right.

In my experience, getting all possible air out is important to minimize the problem. Also, the smaller cups give me more problems than larger diameters (there is probably an upper limit for that too).

If only there was just a tube or hose/tiny line that ran from sleeve out to outside of cup. Then the glans would be at atmospheric pressure rather than the tremendous vacuum. All it would take is a tiny little hose that long enough with plenty of slack for sleeve to go well outside of cup (so able to put on penis). Yes, it would be hard to get the sleeve to seal well to the edge of glans because vaccum try to break the seal, but maybe it could be configured so that force of vacuum squeezing the outer seal could also be utilized to cancel the opposite direction of force on inner sleeve seal. With a little bit more force from elastic squeeze of silicone or something maybe the seal would be enough stronger than vacuum to not be breached. Or maybe all it would take is having the internal seal basically be facing in opposite direction of the outer seal, thereby working just like the outer seal. Just some ideas.

VKN1,

I think that your suggestion would render the vacuum hanger inoperable. These things work because they apply vacuum to the glans. That’s the mechanism of operation.

You can reduce the vacuum felt by the glans by wearing a constriction sleeve or otherwise wrapping. In that event, the difference in pressure outside versus inside the wrap will be converted into a force that tends to pull the wrap off. That’s why I think tape works better than a straight constriction sleeve for heavy weights. The tape won’t pull off it it sticks hard enough.

Enter your measurements in the PE Database.

Yes it’s true that there is a force pulling the weight equal in magnitude to the pressure times the cross-sectional area of your shaft at the point along shaft where the vacuum ends. However, another (if not the primary) force is a shear force (applied in same direction - normal to cross section of that point on shaft) but equal in magnitude to the difference in area between between that first cross-sectional area and the area equal to Pi*(radius of outside cup)^2.

I mean, I haven’t really thought about it completely, but that was my basic assumption. If the assumption is correct, then the loss of the first force could simply be compensated for by increasing the second force (ie increasing the diameter of the cup).

As I say though, I haven’t really analyzed things and might have to sit down later tonight when have block of time to really think everything through.

Yes, you can increase the size of the cup to get a larger cross section. I keep repeating that all over the place. You can even make a pill bottle into a vacuum hanger, like sparkyx did (see “stretcher pictures” by mbuc) and have the glans totally exposes in all directions - like hanging from a kaplan glans enlarger. Problem is getting a functioning seal.

But opening the cup to outer atmospheric pressure means that you’d either have to have something that directed the force to the skin below the glans (= donut, skin stretching) or work on friction (in which case a vice-type hanger would work better).

Just though I’d give a little update on my hanging/clamping technique experiment. It is going much better than i expected. I have gained, boy have I gained. Because of personal time constraints, I am not sure if I will continue keeping a log of the experiment and might end it a month short of the expected 6 months. I believe though there have been enough gains made to show that this has some promise. So I should be posting the results and technique at the end of this month or the beginning of the new year.

ticktickticker are you still here sometimes?… I didnt get another comment from you…

thanks

Mgus, the current system (at least the Vac-hanger) does use friction. It also uses pulling on the head the way Modesto described, but the entire force I was talking about in previous post ultimately gets applied as friction force/traction. By increasing diameter of cup, you would be increasing the component of force on the area between (which is applying to silicone sleeving) between and outer diameter of of cup and outer diameter of dick where seal forms. The force gets transferred by the sleeve to the shaft and is indeed a (traction/frictional) shear force occurring along the interface between sleeve and shaft. The reason it is more comfortable than other traction approaches is that the force/pressure is being distributed evenly across the entire perimeter of shaft and the compressive component is distributed across a length of the shaft too (in other words, both the frictional and the compressive components being applied below glans are distributed much more evenly and across a larger area, than with other methods. This means the peak levels of pressure on surface of dick are undoubtedly only a fraction of the peak levels felt on some areas of dick using other methods.

Yes, there is a small amount of friction - the seal “grabs” the skin a little. So you want to pull away the skin to get some slack and not stretch it unneccessarily.

But the brunt of the weight, and the very way the vacuum approach functions, is by vacuum against a surface. That is the very reason there is lymph buildup, because the pressure is lower than normal on the surface, and that pressure is directly proportional to the weight supported.

Any friction against the inside of the cup and seal is secondary, and very minor in comparison - which is shown when you open the vacuum release hole while having the weight attached (watch your toes!).

Worked my way up to 10 pounds for 35min with my wrapping technique with the vac hanger. Very comfortable and no blisters yet.

You get the hermetic sealing because that the sheat touches the skin? I mean the askina wrap is under the blue sheat which is on your penis and at the base it comes in contact with the skin so to keep the hermetic pressure? Because I cannot seem to get a seal with the askina wrap alone on my penis..
I hope I made my question clear.. Yes it’s a little complicated..
Thank you again

Sorry - I am just back from a kite surfing vacation in coche, venezuela. No internet access there but great weather, warm water and w I n d …

To get back to your question, I am using the medical wrap so that it mostly fills the hanger, no sheet between hanger and wrap.
I am only using one elastic sheet. Half of it is sitting on the outside of the hanger, the other half on my dick (the unwrapped part of it, which is located outside of the hanger.

Once all in place, I am putting on some weight (5 pounds) releasing it slowly while pumping to 5 inch Hg, then repeat with another weight pumping to 11 and a third one pumpung to 18.

I am still wondering whether there might be a better technique than wrapping.

So far I had two blisters, both with the wrapping technique.

One occurred during prolonged hanging while sleeping at low weight (5 pounds max, maybe only 2.5) for hours, one after 10 minutes at 18 pounds (which was my regular weight 3x30 minutes 7x a week).

Now I was on a kite surfing vacation and the sea water makes healing so slow..

Back home and almost ready to restart my pe sessions I am wondering if there is any more fine tuning.

Any ideas?

I have had good success with the dish glove finger. I have not had one blister since using them. I picked up 10 packs (20 gloves) for 10 bucks at the dollar store. Each finger last me about a week. I just recently hung 12 pounds for over an hour with these and have fluid build up at the tip that went away in 30 minutes or so, but no blisters.

Just thought I’d let you all know on this thread that I posted my routine and gains on a thread here at thunders under the routines section.

Joe_Smith what he uses to gain!

Hope it is helpful. Please ask any question about it on that thread.

Hey joe - thanks for the dish glove finger tip and the link.
