Bib Hangar, More Reps Or More Weight For Gains?

Bib Hangar, More Reps Or More Weight For Gains?

I have been using a bib hangar for about 3 months now. I stopped gaining from my penimaster so I thought it was time to move on. I have been hanging 3 sets a day and I am currently up to 14 lbs. I still don’t feel fatigue and feel I can go up weight but don’t want to overdo it and toughen the ligaments too much.

It is difficult for me to find the time to up the sets which is why I am asking. 1 to 2 times a week I am able to do an extra 2 or 3 sets but not really much more.

Should I try harder to find time to up my sets or should I continue to add weight until I hopefully finally feel fatigue and ride that?

Any help is appreciated.

How many sets do you hang currently? 14lbs is a lot in 3 months.

Started BPFSL: 7.2"; BPEL: 7.25"; MSEG: 5.13"; BEG: 5"

Current BPFSL: 8.625"; BPEL: 8.0"; HEG: 5.375"; MSEG: 5.25"; BEG: 5"

Initial Goal : 9 x 6

I’m doing 3 sets of 17 minutes per day, so under an hour of actual hang time.

I think the reason I got up in weight so quickly was because I was already slightly conditioned from the extender. It can pull almost 3 lbs and I was wearing that for about 6 hours a day already. I started at 4 lbs hanging because anything less I couldn’t even feel!

Since you only hang an hour a day and are already high up in weight you might want to consider using your extender as an ADS.

Well I am still using it at least 4 hours a day as well as hanging, is that what you mean? If I can’t put on the penimaster, I usually put on a sleeve to keep me extended as often as possible.

Yes, thats what I mean. Its always better to add more sets but if you cant then increase the weight slowly. Remember to reduce the weight between sets even if you don’t feel anything.
