On thing I would caution about this arrangement is that the force on the penis can vary significantly depending on the angle of the Bib Hanger. Maybe Mbuc could run the numbers to be sure, but I’m pretty certain that the force multiplier changes dramatically with different angles. Since the angle is tricky to maintain with precision (no shifting forward or back in your seat), there’s a possiblity, maybe even a likelihood, that the penis could be severely strained if more than moderate weight is used.

That’s interesting— I’ve been using this setup for the last week or two and there are certain angles that feel a lot more intense than others (i.e. I can hang more or less easily for 20minutes one way and have trouble hanging for more than 15minutes another).

Is there a conclusion that can be drawn from this (apart from the caution)?

e.g. maybe a better setup— I’m assuming it’s effective in increasing forces, just maybe not in a particularly safe way.

The question is, can you accomplish essentially the same benefits of this exercise with less fuss and less risk? I’m pretty sure that the answer is yes, but it’s time to check back into reality now.

D’oh — this is where it gets more interesting (for me at least).

Either what I wrote was utterly clear to everyone (unlikely), or so totally off-base that nobody bothered to enlighten me (also unlikely) or… I don’t know? I wouldn’t mind having the mechanics of this understood better, if someone is willing to take part in that?

Just last night I decided that I need to hang to get the missing NBP inch I really would like to accomplish, and got my Bib out of hiding. Then this morning, I found this! Looks like I’ll be getting some duct tape and a plastic cup to modify one of my rice socks.

So does anyone have a clear, exact picture of how the rice sock should look ? An actual picture or drawing?Thanks.

There are a few pictures of an actual one in this thread somewhere. I think it’s all interpretation though, since Bib just got a description in an email to him, and not an actual device. I’d like to see how Bib made his though just for reference.

I haven’t had a chance to make one myself yet, but I have tried using a partial roll of toilet paper in a similar fashion just to see how it might be like. Very interesting feeling when I hung 10lbs with it.

The picture was in the linked thread at MoS, not here. There are funny drawings people posted here though. :p

I’ve made one and have determined that 2 cups of rice isn’t close to big enough for it to be used as described, though I am using it with something underneath it right now to give it more size.

The difference is great though. With normal hanging, it seems that most of the tension is directed at the base. With this device in place, the tension seems to be focused on the tunica.

I admit to feeling a bit disheartened by the title of this thread. Although Bib is certainly a very knowledgeable guy for matters related to PE, this thread, or at least the title, makes him sound like some kind of icon or god. Bib never viewed himself this way, and I don’t think we should either.

I really urge people, especially newbies, to seek out a variety of ideas and points of view. I am one example of a guy who never gained using Bib’s approach, despite 6 months of hard effort. I started to gain again, I believe, when I started learning things on my own, listening to my own body, and considering the points of view of other inquisitive members of the forum (e.g., hobby, xenolith, MX, shiver, and Big Girtha).

It is very comforting to think that there is one person who has all the answers. Unfortunately, what’s comforting isn’t always what’s true.
