BTC v. Standing

BTC v. Standing

I start this thread in the hopes of finding out the concensus concerning doing hanging BTC and standing.

To start off, I should note that I use the BIB hanger.

When I do BTC, I find that it twists to the right, i.e., clockwise, about 90 degrees. However, if I do it standing, it hangs closer to level (12 o’clock).

I feel more stress, however, when hanging BTC.

While innovation is a good thing IMO this is a area that may fall under the catorgory of let’s not recreate the wheel so to speak.

What I’m trying to say is if a guy (bib) has gained close to 5 inches in length is suggesting BTC as the primary hanging position then, I’m hang BTC.

If you get to the point where you fatigue the ligs by hanging BTC then mix it up and hang straight for a while until the soreness goes away.

Try and bisect your balls with the rope or whatever your using to secure your weight, this will act as a guide to keep things somewhat centered or at 12 o’clock .

I always hung while seated in an executive type office chair. I attached a PVC shell to the front edge of the chair which helped to keep the hanger straight. The skids of the hanger would ride on this shell.

I would think LOT has more to do with it…

There have countless hangers who haven’t gained much using BTC.

yep.. I think so aswell.. I was hanging sorta religiously SD, but then I realized that according to my low LOT I should be hanging OTS or SO… so thats what I’ve been doing… and I think I’ve already started seeing gains…
