big burb,
I’m glad to hear you got that pressure off your dorsal nerve, I’ll bet your hanger is going to be much more comfortable now. And yes, don’t expect your glans to remain the exact same temperature and color as normal. After all, you do have a contraption clamped down onto your dick. :) Just make sure your glans are not purple, and that you can still feel a fingernail being pressed into it (ever so slightly at that).
BTW, why not go ahead and make a Captn’s Wench? I find it’s far superior in comfort, ease of use, and safety than any homemade Bib I’ve ever assembled. Won’t cost you more than $15 at home depot. Either way, be sure to let everyone know how things go.
WeSty,
Yeah, I think the clamp (and amount of wrap) has a lot to do with providing good circulation. You want your clamp and wrap small enough to allow maximum grip on the tissues, but at the same time, thick enough to protect your penis. That’s another reason why I love Cappy’s Wench so much; it acts as wrap by keeping the clamp safely away from your member. All I require with the Wench is a small piece of cotton undershirt wrapped twice around my dick to provide comfort from the grippers. One thing you might try - if you haven’t already - is moving one of the grippers either forward or backward (depending on your flaccid size) to get better lateral pressure. I found Cap’s original gripper placement wasn’t right for my particular size, and a slight move of the left gripper made a world of difference.
Oh yeah, I use the medium cable clamp; the red one. I put the cable clamp around the wench and click it three times, wait 30 seconds or so for my dick to get entirely flaccid again, then try to eek out one more click to really snug it up. I’ve never been able to get 5 clicks, and 4 holds just fine. Again, this will be different for you depending on the amount/type of wrap you use, and the size of your flaccid.
One other consideration is the position of the cable clamp when tightening. Since it forms an oval shape once closed, it’s very important to align it properly to fit the dimensions of the wench. I like to start mine with the female end of the clamp on the top right side, with the jagged edge being fed in from the left.
