Does anyone hang w/o warming the area up with heat?

I still have the 10 minute rice sock warm-up ingrained in my head from Jelqing for over 1 1/2 years.

Is this necessary?

How long do you guys warm up for?

Do you target the Ligs or the entire unit from ligs to head?

I hang BTC followed by a Squeeze & Jelq session which takes a little over 2 hours. I know I definitely have to warm the area up before Jelqing and my initial hang set, but do you guys also try to keep the ligs warm in between sets?

You absolutely will benefit from the heat with hanging. I focus the heat mostly the base of my penis and ligs, but all of my dick gets some heat. I use heat about 10 min. before I start to hang and use it the first half of each set. In between sets I do some light milking- not really a jelq, just get the blood flowing :)

You continue to impress me with your knowledge and consistency with hanging, I just figured this out today as well with the heat. I mean I warm up with moist heat, but I think if one were to apply moist heat at the base it would only help gains. And also the entire body should be fairly warm. I assume this is what you do?

So I gotta ask you…………..any other tricks/suggestions that you recommend?

I had my best hanging sessions after warming up for 15 min. or so soaking in a hot bath, then using moist heat (heating pad and damp washcloth) during sets.

The bath sure heats everything up, but just as importantly, or even more so, it relaxes me. Instead of avoiding peeking at the clock during the first sets, I had to try to keep from nodding off. :)

2 has a good background in physiology. He turned me on to a couple of tactics. I have always used moist heat (a heating pad with a damp wash cloth) during the first half of each set. However, 2in2 told me about using a cold pack at the end of the day to chill the ligs and prevent contraction. He also told me about pumping a little before bed to get a good blood flow in there during the night. I plan to start this soon.

Jelktoid :trash: More meat for the money!

I have been using a sock filled with rice and microwaving it. BUT it dont stay hot long and I start my hanging session I dont like to get up and leave a good angle that Im feelig a good stretch. What are some other heating options again?

I always warm up with moist heat, either a warm cup, or a warm washcloth. But I always use moist heat. I take a big milkshake cup (something big enough to fit my bat and balls in the entire cup) of warm water and let soak for 5-10 mins. This gets everything nice and loose.

I’m talking about using the moist heat during sets. This I will try today and sounds great.

As you can see the trend is to use moist heat, not dry heat. A heating pad or hot water bottler wrapped in a damp washcloth should do the trick.

While heat is probably best, I will go on record here of gaining about an inch in 6 months without any heat/warmup.

Imagine what kinda of gains you could of made with heat! wow nice gains

I will try it but I cant seem to schedule my Shower & hanging time in the same time period. But I would like to try it. I have made a gain of 1/2” in 3 months without it. Hmmmmm

The last 2 weeks I have fell off the regiem but I will be back on it this weekend.

Moist heat is the shit during a work out!! I’m achieving stretches beyond belief!! I jelqed between a set, and I’m getting the accordion/slinky dick syndrome again where it makes those little popping snapping sounds and is hell of stretchy/springy!

IF you’re not using moist heat during a set, DO IT!! PLease you will stretch like crazy, unless you don’t want better, faster gains…

Gotta get back to hanging…10 mins is almost up……

I made those gains with 8 to 10 pounds of weight. I initially tried to warm up, but my hang time is limited to my lunch hour, and wanted to maximize the hang time during that hour.

I was in the early/easy gain group, possibly because as the signon implies, I could be the poster boy for a “grower”. Ie: I started with a 6x5 erect, but drop my pants at any given time and a pathetic little 1 inch flaccid mini dick was there. I can honestly say I never stepped foot into the boys locker room in high school.

I may try to heat up sometimes when more time allows.

I’m currently hit a “wall” in that I’m having difficultly being able to hang over 14 pounds without developing excessive head pressure.
