Down n' Dirty Hanger

My apologies if something similar to this has been posted before. I wanted something quick to hang with and haven’t built my wench yet, so here’s what I used:

Supplies:
1 medium cable clamp
1 section of 3/8” round foam pipe insulation
1 10” bungie cord

Cost:
<$5

Construction:
Cut about 3” of the foam tube off. It’s already preslit lengthwise down the middle, so slip it over your dick for fit. What you want is an open channel running along the topside of your dick (so that when it’s tightened, there wont be direct pressure on the top of your penis where you don’t want it). Remove and cut with scissors to create the channel.

Once you have the foam piece with a channel (I think my channel runs about 1/4”), choose what side will be the head side, and cut an inverted triangle about 1/4” deep (the point will be at the slit). In other words, if you had the foam on your dick and looked down, the channel will widen to a V-shape just behind the head on the topside (again to avoid pressure where you don’t want it).

Use:
OK, wrap like normal (you may be able to get by without wrapping). Fit the foam piece behind the head with the channel running along top and the notched V behind the head. Use the cable clamp about 1” behind the head and clamp down to secure the foam (make sure you have it aligned so that it’s not putting ((much)) pressure on the top of your dick).

Now, take your 10” bungie, fit it through your weights. There is a built in ridge/channel on the cable clamp itself. Hook the bungie hooks right into the cable clamp ridge and position the hooks up or down in the channel to distribute the weight as you see fit.

That’s it. So far, I’m still new to hanging so I’m breaking in with about 4 lb, I think this setup will be good for more though.

We just got a digital camera for x-mas. I’m at work now, but if a couple people (or if you) really want to see pics, I’ll snap something when I get a moment of privacy back at home.

For now, visually, just imagine a length of foam with a cable clamp on it. The weight suspended from the cable clamp itself…

I like minimal! I tried this out just now, and I couldn’t get past 8 pounds with it - but it is a nice idea for low weights. Simple, I like simple. Not quite a Chickenchoker, but it is easier to construct Super. Sweet idea. Hope you are using it so that it squeezes the sides of your penis and leaves the top open for blood flow. The oval would be going up and down - not side to side. You are, right?

Yes, exactly — with the channel along the topside and the oval up and down, it shouldn’t place too much pressure where you don’t want it. Thanks for checking. I’m still pretty new to this and need all the safety checks I can get from my more experienced mates.

You’re right about the simplicity — simplicity is what really appealed to me about it. Simple allows me to focus more on what I need to do rather than the intricacies of attachment, construction, etc… Simple and safe is what I was focused on.

Pirate, I was thinking about the clamps already and wondering if the addition of a second clamp would allow the use of more weight? (i.e. put one clamp just behind the other and hang from the second clamp) What do you think?.

I did it first without a wrap (the foam pretty much does that), then with one to see if I could get the weight up. Start adding clamps and you increase surface area - and complexity. I’ll try it later, but to be honest have less hope for it than what you already have - a sweet little deal. I would think it would just be easier to use what you have until the weight gets to be too much, and then build a Wench which we know works well and is safe at higher weights. And heck, you already have the clamp…

That foam pipe insulation just sounds like a great idea and the simplicity is fantastic. But I also would like to see a pic when you get around to it. I’m thinking that a second cable clamp might be all that is needed for additional weight capabilities. As soon as I see the pic, I’m off to get my supplies.

Yup, you may very well be right… Still, I’d be curious to know — one more clamp doesn’t add that much complexity does it?

If nothing else, it is nice as a lightweight hanger. I got some good BTC work from it too.

What’s actually kind of funny is that I shot as a professional photographer for about five years. Still have my nice cameras and studio and darkroom equipment.

Still have a love of film — it’s just the digitals that I don’t know too heck of a lot about.

I haven’t forgotten about the pictures, I’m still working on it. May try a mod on the clamp drilling two small holes directly across from one another in the ridge to snap the bungie hooks into. I’ll have to take a closer look to see if it’d weaken the structure of the clamp too much.

Drilled the holes using a 1/16” bit. Drilled them directly across from one another so that when the hooks on the bungie clips are snapped in, weight is distributed to the sides of the hanger. This mod keeps the hooks from slipping in the clamp channel. Pics coming as soon as I have a couple moments privacy to snap the contraption.
