Should you need help understanding the Wench design and how to direct people to properly use the device let me know. I’m always available to help.
In the meantime, a nice starting point might be this thread in which an experienced hanger points out that he can hang 15lbs with the Wench without a clamp. Another mentions hanging 25lbs. Hopefully that will put to rest any concern you might have that the Wench “can't grip the inner structures well and ends up gripping only the skin and sliding off”.
As I’m sure you know, any hanging device if used incorrectly will result in slippage.

Nine out of ten times when a person experiences severe engorgement of the glans it is due to their wrapping technique. Almost always it is because they are wrapping too tightly and essentially cutting off the outflow of blood - blood goes in, but cannot go out.
To solve this, try wearing your wrap loose enough so that you can urinate with it on.
How much or how little wrap material you use can also effect the quality of hold the Wench can achieve. What type of material(s) you use will also have an effect.
As for the skin stretch at the base of your shaft - this is completely normal and should be expected when a guy first begins hanging. You will need to stretch skin first before any other anatomy can be stretched. This can take a few days to a few weeks.
Be patient and experiment a bit. Take matters slow and use caution and you should be enjoying a good hang in no time.
