Getting into hanging...few questions

I wanted to swap out my 10 minute manual downward streth exercise for a 10 min hang session, I think I would get better results that way, plus I can go a full 10 minutes of a steady consistent stretch. I don’t know anything really about hanging though and I just wanted to hear from the pros what i’m getting myself into. I have a hard grip and use a lot of tension on my manual stretching and it feels like i’m going atleast 10 lb’s…I was wondering if I should start at 5 lb”s and go from there. I also plan to use the end piece of my extender to attach the weights too, I already reconstructed then device and tested it out with 5 lb’s, I need to have a pretty damn tight fastening of the strap to hold me in place and doesn’t slip off.

To find out what your pulling force is, get a fish scale and give it a pull.

Hanging will take up more than ten minutes of your day by the way, but ten minutes will be a good start.

Only have those small spring scales that measure in grams lol..

you don’t think 10 minutes of hanging in combination with the rest of my routine?

I mean will the results be comparable to a manual down ward stretch?

5 min warm up

10 min hang session, instead of 10 min stretch

10 min wet jelq

5 min warm up

5 min kegels

20 min air pump

5 min warm down

It wouldn’t hurt to exchange hanging for your manual stretch, no.

If you are in a hardware store sometime, try the fish scale.

Hey so I tried a 10 min session hanging, I felt 5 lb’s was a bit much to start off so I started with a 2.5 lb weight instead and the grip was perfect on my device and had a solid stretch throughout. At the end my glans were actually engorged…usually with manual stretching I have to jelq to get a fat head again. I’m really impressed with hanging and will continue to experiment with this. Thanks for the help

It’s unlikely that you gain anything hanging ten minutes per day; if you only have 10 minutes daily for PE, manuals will be a better choice.

I think arsenal416 was looking to add it as part of a greater workout, which is why I thought it couldn’t hurt, and he has learned a little bit about what hanging feels like in the process.

By the way, one has to watch hanging with an engorged head, as can put undue pressure on the head and the sensitive tissues of the shaft just below the head.

The optimum placement for most hangers is a little further up the shaft gripping the internal tissues and leaving little or no stress whatsosever on the head.

Having said that sometimes the attachment will slip down during the hanging session and if its not uncomfortable I’ll leave it, or reposition it depending on other factors, like pinching or if I feel it will come loose and fall off.

Arsenal416, if you wish to hang you will have to use something better than the clamping device from an extender. This will continue to cause swelling in your glans. If you do not want to spend the money for a Bib hanger yet then try making a captains wench or an AFB hanger. Bot are great for starting out and if you decide that hanging is not for you then your not out any major dollars.

You will probably have to make a choice between hanging with your routine or pumping after a while. Once you get up to any heavy weights pumping will not go well with hanging. If your primary goals are length then drop the pumping when your hanging weight goes up. If it is girth then you can stay with manual stretching and keep the pumping in the routine.

For length hanging and stretching are all you need.

I add wet jelqs occasionally as well to flush out the blood vessels and I find my EQ is better when I do.
