Grew 1/4" length in 10 minutes!

With all the recent talk about the pros and cons of frequent measurements, I decided to measure twice within a short time period—once before a hot shower, and again 10 minutes later after the hot shower. Here are the results:

Before shower:
BPFSL=7.50”

After shower:
BFPSL=7.70”

I grew nearly 1/4” just by taking a shower!

I would not have though the tissues would react this way, but apparently moist heat really does loosen things up, and I think I just proved it.

Do me a favor and try to repeat this test on your own units over the next couple of days. Please measure BPFSL only, and NO CHEATING. Report back with your results.

It would be best to do this before doing any PE that day, as PE might tend to stretch our your unit and skew the measurement.

I shower twice a day all my life and I did not get permanently longer because of this :)

Actually, I’m serious, and I want to know whether this works the same for you.

My hope is that anybody who posts a complaint that he lost 2 tenths of an inch, so what the fuck is going on, can be given a link to this thread to see that this is actually part of the normal ebb and flow of connective tissue.

I did the test and no change. However, in case this may be relevant, I’ve started a 6 week deconditioning break and hadn’t PEed for several days before the test.

Modesto, I wonder, if you didn’t PE for several days would your result be different?

OK. There is one special thing about my shower. I took the shower head downstairs to my drillpress and widened the flow limiter. Now I get blasted with hot water. Other than that, nothing special.
