I have been hanging for a little more than two weeks and am using 5lbs for 1/2 hour, 2 sets.

I have a question regarding hanger position. From the threads I have read that the hanger should be at least an inch behind the glans. Is it best to try to keep it more towards the tip once the inch has been taken into account? Or should the hanger be as far back as possible?

I am assuming that perhaps as far forward as allowable is better to allow for some more skin/tunica stretch as well as the ligs?

Is this sound thinking?

Also, is it best to always take a of rest in between work outs, or is everyday OK as long as you can handle it?

I may not understand the question. The hanger will slide down somewhat if enough weight is used. Rather, the internal tissues compress and make it look like it slides down. But the hanger itself should still be well behind the glans.

No, just start out with one stretched inch behind the glans. When weight is applied, it may look less.

Skin stretch and tunica stretch are two different things. The further toward the base the hanger is attached, the more skin stretch. The further toward the head, the more tunica stretch. However, the head is the last line of resistance to the weight. The entire inner shaft (tunica) will receive the stress as long as the skin does not interfere.

If you have a totally flexible schedule, with plenty of private time each day, then work until you reach total fatigue. Then, take a day or so off. If you have days where you cannot hang because of time limitations, then try to work you schedule around that off time. Hit it hard in the days before you know you will have to take off.

Interesting question.
It seems that I feel more of a deep Ligament stretch when I attach the hanger closest to the base.

On a different note: I do seem to run into a problem of the hanger sliding a little bit. The problem starts because my penis becomes super flaccid while hanging, (As flaccid as it possibly can be), and thus the hanger starts moving forward putting A LOT Of pressure on the head.

1. Any suggestions?

2. Ideally what level of erection do you want while hanging?
(I know you should never hang erect, but is 50% erect good for example?)

That is a little odd. But as long as you have enough skin, it is not impossible.

Yes, the shaft will temporarily become smaller after the weight is applied during a set. That is why I always advise to tighten the hanger a couple of times after you begin. Usually, two times will be all that is needed after the hanger is first attached and tightened.

You ideally want no erection while hanging. If you have a little, then as you hang, you will loose the erection and may have to tighten more than stated above.

The other problem with beginning your hanging while partially erect is that you will likely trap blood in the head and this can lead to bleeding and painful hanging.

You really need to squeeze the blood out of the head at the start of hanging and this is impossible if you are erect.

Thanks for the advice.

I don’t hang with any sort of semi-erection. If anything, I have the opposite problem of being too Flaccid.

I suppose it requires extra tightening, but I am afraid of OVER tightening and cutting off all blood flow.
Is this possible?
Does it cause damage?

Any advice apprecaited.

I suppose anything is possible, but the key is to not have the wrap too tight. The hanger itself will have a hard time cutting off all blood flow. If the wrap is too tight, the added pressure from the hanger could cut off blood flow. But, the hanger was designed to allow circulation.

As always, if you stretch with enough force to see gains, any stress such as hanging will reduce blood flow somewhat. That is why sets should be limited to about twenty minutes.

Once again, it is possible. But it would be hard to tighten a wing nut by hand enough to cause any damage. If you begin to feel discomfort, then apply the weight and see if the discomfort disappears. Then, in a minute or so, tighten a little more. You should not tighten until there is pain. Pain would be an indication that you were doing damage.
