For PE I’ve tried nuked rise sock (actually buckwheat), heat fan and IR. I easily recommend the IR for BTC, but not sure how efficiently you could use it for other angles, particularly OTS. I wouldn’t be surprised if an IR to heat the ligs really changes the pace for many hard gainers. With the IR, I added .6”BPEL in 10 weeks.
I feel that a rise sock is an adequate and probably best choice when IR is less practical; especially if kept slightly moist (the rise/buckwheat needs to be watered now and again anyway; simply nuke a glass of water along with the sock). I use the sock now for OTS, but I’ve just started on that angle. Hot air (heat fan) is IMHO good for manual PE when the room is otherwise chilly.
