Hanging and heating?

I’m kind of pressed for time lately. Would this be a good way to save time on hanging. Instead of a separate 5 to 10 minute warm up with a rice sock could you just apply the heat/warm up while hanging? I figure people do stretching in a hot shower or in a hot bath. Would this be the same concept?

Yes, why not? I use a small (3”x 9”) hot/cold pack while hanging. Before hanging, just heat it in the microwave for about a minute or so, wrap around shaft and groin area while I hang. Works great! Most time I just skip Hot wraps at the sink in favor of this method. You need to wrap the pack in something soft to keep it from burning the skin. Gets pretty warm! but that’s the idea…yes?

PS, hot/cold packs are cheap and reusable!

I also heat up the bibhanger using a spare ricesock. Nothing like a warm bibhanger resting against your asschecks!

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t skip the warmup even if heating while hanging which I do as well. Whatever works for you though.

SkinneeD, how do you apply heat while hanging? Do you feel that it is keeping your tissues at their most flexible state? I think that I would agree with you on still doing a 3-5 min warm up before.

Hey Kojack, while hanging I always use a rice sock- Basmati.

Haven’t tried risotto or long grain yet… :)

My only minor worry is frying my balls with it- don’t want to decrease sperm production. I try to move it around a little and cover a lot of area- slightly above the penis as well as on the shaft. I get pretty sore hanging, and applying the heat really helps soothe the soreness, as well as increasing flexibility.

Do you do anything special when you use heat?

I do not hang yet, sorry. The only thing that I do is stretch my scrotum while under the bath faucet, or the shower. I got stepped on by a bull last September third and got 20 stitches put in my scrotum. I lost some of the elasticity that I had down there before.

Yes, I’m just glad that his hoof didn’t cut my penis. It could have been horrible. It was horrible, but it could have been worse.

Do you like those little hot/cold packs better than a rice sock? I’ll get a couple and try. I also find myself skipping the hot wraps. I just put on a electrical heat pad while hanging. It does’nt get that hot though not like a sock or those packs.

No, I got stepped on at about 7:45 PM and did not finished getting stitched up till about 2:30 AM.

Yeah, I really like these little dudes! I think I got mine at Target but it’s been quite a while since the purchase but pretty sure that’s right. About heat range, they seem to stay warmer/hotter much longer than rice socks do, so, I’m not off to the microvave to do a rewarm. Last 20- 30 min easy.

The good thing about the small packs is the concentration of heat in a small area. I just wrap it around the shaft, or over the shaft and base and let’er hang. Seems to work out just as well as doing hot wraps at the sink.

Maybe I’m a little lazy but do agree that moist heat is always the best but hey, I guess heats heat.

Thought I’d mention this also If anyone’s interested. I found a small hot/cold pack at Bed, Bath and Beyond store a while back. It’s more of a rice sock type thing, not the chemical type I mentioned above but works pretty well If you use them a lot.

It’s blue in color and says “The original Bed Buddy Sinus Pack” on box. It measures 3” x 9” and very soft material (nice). It stinks to high heaven after coming out of the microwave for about 75 sec’s (hot too!) but delivers “moist heat” right from the pack, that’s a plus!! Only cost $10 bucks. Heat range about 10- 20 min.

Started Novemeber 10th, 2003, been reasearching for about 1 month, and started buying my equipment to start on the 10th, I am getting in to this so much. Its freaken awesome!! Why cause I just want to see if it really possible, and second, why not? Lol. What about u thunder how long you been PE’ing?
