Hanging Fatigue

This is a good thread for new hangers out there.

This thread is awesome SNM. Thanks for bumping it! I highly recommend reading this thread for anyone out there thinking about getting into hanging.

I too have made the hanging newbie mistakes that most people do thinking that more weight = quicker gains but it just doens’t work that way. Now I believe I’m starting to get into real hanging the way it’s supposed to be done and this thread just confirms my belives. :)

I was just looking at some of my favorites and thought I would bump some to the top and it might help

This is a awesome read. All hangers should read this.

Two thumbs up…

I have omething to say:

I would say that hanging with moderate weights is good for gains, but the best way to gain seems to be heavy weights, and then not letting it retract by using and ADS.

Did you know America ranks the lowest in education but the highest in drug use? It's nice to be number one, but we can fix that. All we need to do is start the war on education. If it's anywhere near as successful as our war on drugs, in no time we'll all be hooked on phonics

This has been a nice read, what a wonderful way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.

BBS,
Are you still with us buddy, how are you doing?

Old thread good for a bump. Anyone got anything new to add in the past 13 years lol. Never got a clear definition of fatigue throughout the whole thing. Unless it’s a slight pain or discomfort you feel after the fact near the pubic bone and feel it throughout the day, not when you are hanging.

That soreness is a good indicator you’ve done the sort of damage that will lead to gains. If you search around enough, you’ll find lots of info on identifying fatigue.

Bib experienced fatigue in the context of his own situation, which was 5-6 hours per day in the hanger. 30-40 hours per week.

So imagine a weight that you could hang for one set no problem, but if you had to hang that weight for 35 hours per week, you would be unable to continue at some point. That point is fatigue.

It’s also the feeling of controlled micro damage to the target tissues.

It’s also the state of being able to stretch the next limiting factor because the last one is already fatigued.

It gets a lot easier to feel fatigue with experience.

Before 5.5" x 4.1" ///////// Now 7.4" x 4.9"

Thanks

Very good thread. Im hanging as Bib says, max weight I can handle for 20 or 30 mins, I get fatigue while finishing that set and then I have to reduce the weight. I feel the fatigue as a burning sensation in the shaft and the base. The old veteran M9ter from Reddit also says to ride the fatigue. During that fatigue state, keeping on hanging with less weight will lead in the gaining zone. I target every day the same amount of time for hanging (3 hours/day) and its easy to manage the weight due to the same amount of time per day.

Yes buddy. Heavy hanging for many hours per day every day leads to great gains. Im starting to see gains in short time. I will keep on updating as I measure.

I’ll share my xp: I been hanging 20-25 minute sets with a homemade hanger. First I did 4 hours hanging with fairly good results. Went from 2kg to 5kg in a span of 1 year. Then I got more privacy and made a homemade all day hanger with low intensity 600 grams to 750 grams, and had that thing for 7 to 8 hours straight after 1 or 2 morning hanging sessions at 5kg (which later became 7-8kg) and that made the difference. Growth spurt. Fast gains (compared to earlier routines). Guess letting it rest elongated at low weight did the trick, after high tension stress.

Yes buddy. Im hanging for 3 hours per day at full fatigue. I have Just bought an extender to keep the stetching after my hanging session with low but effective tension. Thats the best way to grow fast and efficent . What do you think?
