Does the time space between sets lesson the potential for gains? For example, you hang a set and wait 3 hours to do the next set, is this less effective than hanging the next set 15 minutes from the previous set?

Probably. It makes sense that once you start to stretch the tissues, if you let them sit for three hours they’ll probably lose some of the stretch. However, if you “attack” them again within fifteen minutes you probably add to the deformation and thus increase the likelihood of gains.

I agree with West. You need to try and build on each successive set in order to deform the tissues. Look at it this way, if you only hung one set each week, you would probably not gain.

However, split sessions is probably not a bad idea. If you can do three or more set in each session, that might be the best for both deformation, and keeping the tissues in the extended state.
