hanging vs. jelqing and rubber banding
Okay… I know this subject probably has been beaten to death… but I have a few more observations and thoughts and I want feedback from vets because their experience and insight is so helpful.
Okay… so these are my personal observations with my own hanging:
After reading bib’s comment that he felt the stretch through his shaft too, I reflected on it and realized that I wasn’t feeling the stretch through my shaft, just behind my balls area. So after more thinking, I realized that it had to do with the toe in/out configuration of my hanger. My hanger is perfectly parrallel with no toe in/out and no lower gap (it’s screwed all the way in). So i changed it so that hanger end closest to my glan was narrow and the hanger end closest to my balls was much, much wider.
And… bam!… I felt the stretch in the shaft. Great, I thought, now I’m getting a fuller stretch and here comes great gains.
But after a while, I had to go back to an equal width because there was too much pressure and “pinching” at the glan end of the hanger. It was much more comfortable for the hanger to “hug” the entire shaft.
Damn. I feel like I’m only getting “half” the benefits of hanging. I’m “half” hanging… meaning that because the hanger is entirely hugging my penis and the hanger itself is about 3 inches long, half my penis—the “external” shaft—isnt getting the full benefits. It’s my other half, the “internal” penis shaft that is getting full hanging benefits. And I can definitely feel it.
But after more thinking and reading posts, I had a few more thoughts.
I gained maybe .25 to .5 inches from “half” hanging in a few months. Not bad. I didn’t get any external penis shaft gains. Which means that this gain came from stretching the internal penis shaft.
This makes sense to me because of the nature of the side effects of hanging: thickening of the base as the shaft is pulled out; tree trunk effect; scrotum being pulled up; pubic hair on lower shaft; etc. But I don’t hear of these kinds of side effects from jelqers who gain. Which means jelqers are stretching just the external shaft and therefore wouldn’t get those types of side effects (or do they?).
So my thought is this:
If I “half” hang to get internal gains, then I should jelq to get external gains because I can’t always configure the bib hanger to stretch the shaft too due to my personal comfort issues (for the record, the bib hanger is fantastic, by the way!).
thoughts?
And an additional thought of stretching verus tugging:
I think there is a difference between stretching and tugging. When the penis is “stretched”, it doesn’t have an internal pull on the internal penis. The external penis is simply stretched like a rubber band. I can pull on my penis and stretch it and still not feel that internal, deep stretch when I’m hanging.
However, tugging, to me, is a type of pulling that when I pull on my penis, it affects the internal penis and pulls it just like the feeling when I’m hanging. Of course, the external penis is also stretched if the grip is at the glans.
Anyway, my thought is regarding stretching and not tugging:
I think I’ve read a few posts about a “rubber band” or “balloon” effect. Does stretching and releasing, stretching and releasing, gradually elongate/wear down the external penis like a rubber band/long balloon? It seems like low level erection jelquing is also doing this effect because the low erection allows the penis to be stretched more then a high level erection.
xtroop’s progress and routine led me to these particular thoughts. he stretches intensely and low erection jelqs.
so what are your guys thoughts?
