Hope everybody is well,
Just started vacuum hanging, and I have some basic / newbie questions that have been addresses before or not, but I didn’t get to a conclusion.

1. If you use a tape to wrap up and protect the penis during vacuum, how do you do it? Done it 3-4 times already and I don’t think if have found the secret formula, and it hurts like hell when I remove it as well. Is there a technique for wrapping the glans and the upper part of the shaft?

2. How do you know if you had a successful session? Do you feel sore, are you exhausted, can you still maintain an erection? What are the general signs of a good session?
I need to know if I am doing anything wrong sooner, and change, than later, with no gains.

3. Is it ok to combine 1h vacuum hanging with some other PE methods? (I use a bathmate, sometimes a Phallosan forte extender) would it create too much stress?

4. What do you do while vacuum hanging? I assume that everybody is in standing position for at least 1h. Can you walk? Can you hide the discs? Can you work somehow? Can you sit on the edge of the chair and let your penis hang ? How do you do it and how do you fill this 1h ?

5. Are there any other FIR pads available besides thermedic and totalman? I have a totalman, but if somethings happens, it’s an out of stock item, and thermedic cannot be found. How do you know what temperature suits you best?

6. If I can stay more than 1h, would it be ok? For example, 3-5 hours. Would it still be efficient? Is it the same principle as time under traction?

I tried the technique described by Totalman, others have the same approach, but Totalman did make some videos about it. An I hated it, just like you. It is simply painful and time consuming.
Instead I invented my own wrapping.
I bought the vacuum cups from TM and the IR-heater. I believe the vacuum cups are very good, so I’m happy with that. But after 6 times used the blue silicone broke and a replacement would just be too expensive after such short lifespan.

Instead I just bough this: https://www.ama … /dp/B081VCX223/ and cut the blind end of. Extremely flexible and solid silicone.

And instead of the taping on the glans, I use https://www.ama … /dp/B086W5QMLD/ , the size for the big toe fits me perfect.

I then put the toe silicone on the glans, use https://www.ama … /dp/B09Y193BQK/ as an anti-slip cut in the right width.

Very durable setup, I changed the toe cap and the silicone tube after a month. The anti slip mats is still the same.

With that equipment I can pull around 8 kilogram (which I don’t normally do). I use IR and low weight with a pulley under my desk.

Hey Raoul, I’ll try my best to answer.

1. The tape just wasnt for me. I use large silicone toe caps to protect the glans. They are tight when new, but get stretch out when used. Otherwise you could try sticking the tape to your clothes and peeling a couple times before putting on your dick. This will put some lint on the tape and lessen the adhesive.

2. The way I used to tell the effectiveness of a session would be to measure BPFSL before and after the session. The difference in percentage will be your strain. A good number to target would be 3-5%. For example 20cm pre BPFSL and 21cm post BPFSL would be a 5% strain. I get around 4% on good day, but is usually around 2.5-3%.

3. Thats up to you and whether our not you can handle it. I did about 1.5 hours of hanging/stretching in the mornings and then about 150 jelqs in the evenings.

4. I used the totalman leg bungee strap instead of hanging for this very reason. I was able to crank the tension to around 7lbs and wear it all under some baggy clothing. With this, I just stood at my standing desk and worked. I work from home. This was used with the totalman vacuum hanger and the heating pad was powered off a usb battery pack.

5. These appear to be the only two good ones. I got a couple small ones off amazon and they were pretty bad (no temp control, too hot, hotspots, etc.) The totalman heating pad really is a great product. I’m thinking about picking up another one despite having a thermedic as a backup.

6. I would honestly stick to the minimum time needed to hit your targeted strain range. This is generally between 1 and 1-1/2 hours. I found that when going for longer periods there was a diminishing return on strain, and the risk for blisters and burns went up exponentially.

It makes more sense now.

I will buy another totalman pad as well, and I will also get some more silicone sleeves. I also have a totalman full pack, and I have that adapt thing with a wheel for hanging from the office. But changing the angle might dramatically change the dynamics.

Anyway, I used the leg strap as well yesterday (the one provided for ADS) at a higher tension, and with a longer usb cable also used a power bank to supply the pad.

But I cannot determine the pressure in lbs.

Yeah this method is not very precise. I just upped the tension every 15 minutes until the bungee cord was maxed out. The last 15 minutes was basically like me using my leg to pull a solid rope connected to my vacuum hanger. I did a couple pulls with a fish scale just to get a feel for different tension ranges. Definitely har to stay consistent, but it worked for me pretty well. Whichever method you use, i feel that constant heat is probably the most important aspect.

Oh and a pro tip on those blue silicone sleeves that come with the totalman stuff; when they get kinda worn out and need replacing, cut them in into 1” length sections. They make great all day cock rings and padding for clamping (if you ever get into that).
