How do you know this?

Just started vacuum hanging, and I have some basic / newbie questions that have been addresses before or not, but I didn’t get to a conclusion.
1. If you use a tape to wrap up and protect the penis during vacuum, how do you do it? Done it 3-4 times already and I don’t think if have found the secret formula, and it hurts like hell when I remove it as well. Is there a technique for wrapping the glans and the upper part of the shaft?
2. How do you know if you had a successful session? Do you feel sore, are you exhausted, can you still maintain an erection? What are the general signs of a good session?
I need to know if I am doing anything wrong sooner, and change, than later, with no gains.
3. Is it ok to combine 1h vacuum hanging with some other PE methods? (I use a bathmate, sometimes a Phallosan forte extender) would it create too much stress?
4. What do you do while vacuum hanging? I assume that everybody is in standing position for at least 1h. Can you walk? Can you hide the discs? Can you work somehow? Can you sit on the edge of the chair and let your penis hang ? How do you do it and how do you fill this 1h ?
5. Are there any other FIR pads available besides thermedic and totalman? I have a totalman, but if somethings happens, it’s an out of stock item, and thermedic cannot be found. How do you know what temperature suits you best?
6. If I can stay more than 1h, would it be ok? For example, 3-5 hours. Would it still be efficient? Is it the same principle as time under traction?
