I hung hanged for the first time today.

Hanged with 5 pounds for 5 minutes and then added 2 1/2 pounds for another 5 minutes.

The clamp holds better if I wrap the tape tighter before attaching the clamp.

The stretch on the ligaments was awesome this morning, so much so that I’m going to do another session this afternoon.

I love how the strain is taken by the ligaments and not the head of my dick, which further motivates me to continue hanging as there is little discomfort on the head while the weight swings back and forth.

I was worried last week the I was putting too much pressure on the head with this low a weight, knowing that I will have to add a lot more weight before I see results, but I managed to get the wrap tighter and the clamp stays in place comfortably, much to my relief!

Hanged comfortably with 7 1/2 pounds today. I had to reseat the clamp a few times as it felt as if it was going to slip off, but other than that I felt a nice stretch to the ligs.

I tried adding an extra 2 1/2 pounds after the session and that felt comfortable, but I think that I will have to find better wrap to hold that much weight for a full session.

I did a second 10 minute session today with the aim to improve the amount of time spent hanging.

I don’t believe I’m anywhere near the time necessary to see any length yet, but I know this is a long-term process and I’m patient.

I see hangers talking about the need to do at least 10 hours a week, so I’ve got a long way to go.

It’s normally just 4 sets a day, with a couple 5 set days thrown in for good measure to reach your recommended 10 hours. I think the most important thing is to reach fatigue and stay in that state for as long as you can.

Started hanging on 3/28/12 after minimal gains on the newbie routine. Still not discouraged! This game is 99.9% mental. Stick with it, gents.

After 1 month of hanging 5-6lbs BTC: 1/4" gain in BPEL and BPFSL!

Well thanks flimflam, it seems that you have got some good early gains.

I am currently using 7 1/2 pounds for ten minutes at a time and feel that, if only the clamp would stay put better, I could use more weight.

I am using clingwrap and masking tape for a wrap and I think the only thing that will give me more grip would be hockey tape, which I’m going to try.

I am going to stick to two sets per day for the next week and then up to three next week to see how my EQ is affected, and if there’s no deterioration in the EQ then add more sets with each passing week and keep the weight the same.

Have you tried just using the “normal” wrap of a cloth layer (like a “hair tie wrap” you can find at Target/Walmart, assuming you’re in the USA) with a top layer of silver/blue/black Theraband? The Theraband can be sort of tacky, which may help the grip of your clamp.

It’s all washable, and reusable. The only consumable it requires is a small bit of scotch tape to secure the last pass of Theraband. It’s also fairly easy and quick to get all wrapped up once you’ve had enough practice. It takes me no more than 60 - 70 seconds, most of which is spent unrolling the hair tie wrap over my glans and shaft.

I haven’t, but thanks for the advice.

I will search for theraband right now.

I tried electrical tape and that worked really well.

I hung 7 1/2 pounds for five minutes and added another 2 1/2 pounds for the last five minutes.

I will try 10 pounds for the entire ten minutes this afternoon.

It seems the tissues need time to adjust to the stress of hanging.

What is the heaviest anyone has hung from their dick?

There are guys that have hung 45lbs+, but as Bib says hanging is NOT a weight lifting competition. The weight doesn’t really matter, it’s how your body is reacting to it through fatigue.

I see. I am leaning to focus on how my ligaments feel while I’m hanging, I find that swinging the weight back and forth and side to side puts direct strain on the ligaments and helps stave off boredom while putting the time in, and also tells me that the clamp is working well and not slipping down toward the glans.

As I up the weight incrementally I am finding more on-going soreness in the ligaments, even two hours after, which is where I am right now preparing for session two, which I credit to the swinging more than the actual weight it’s self.

This week-end I’m going to try to steal some time away from the wife and kids to put at least one session per day in to keep the ligs sore.

Just finished hanging for 10 minutes with 10 pounds and found that the strain on the ligs was bordering on painful, so I am going to see how the ligs feel in the morning before I jump to 10 pounds again.

The simple fact that I can fatigue the ligs and not have the clamp let go is great news as I can continue to pursue my hanging routine and get excited about achieving my length goals and get some added girth into the bargain.

I’m still struggling with the time aspect as I find it difficult to stay distracted for 10 minutes at a time while hanging.

Maybe reading a book will help.

I sit in front of my computer and fart around online while I’m hanging.

Yeah, I stand while hanging and this allows me to really attack the ligaments, but where I do the hanging is in the basement away from the computers in the house, which only leaves my phone and youtube videos for entertainment.

And also the basement is the only place in the house where I can get privacy, other than the bathroom and I’m not going to risk dropping weights on the tiles!

Can’t you find a way to use a rubber bend? Those for fitness training for example.

Your wrap sounds horrible. You should cut a piece of jersey type material from an old shirt and then wrap Theraband around it. The Tband should be an inch to 1.5 inches wide and about 15 inches long, secured with Scotch tape. The Irwin clamp is what inspired the Redi-Stretcher (). If you want to go up in weights and have $35 to blow, buy the pads that are sold and install them on your clamp. There is a LOT to be said for proper wrapping technique and you will notice a lot less slipping. If you can’t get Tband (which I’m not sure how you COULDN’T) then buy a latex swim cap and cut it up. Bib (http://www.bibhanger.com ) sells it relatively cheap. Happy hanging!

Serious starting point: Nov. 2, 2009/BPEL 5.75 x 4.75 inches.

Current BPEL 7 1/2 x 5.5 inches.

Goal: BPEL 8 x 6 inches. Hell, if I hit 8, I'm going for 9!
