45 lbs????

Shit, I can’t imagine that. How you could maintain comfort, circulation, etc., with so much resistance. BTW, how long were you hanging 45 lbs?

wad,

As stated above, the biggest factor is conditioning. My tissues, especially soft tissues, became conditioned to handle the weight. I could probably come close to that today. Maybe not for 20 minutes though.

Plus, I had a lot of wrap practice and hanger attachment practice, knew exactly what I was doing, and had confidence. BTW, others have come close to that amount, and probably exceeded it.

If you mean set wise, 20 minutes would be the max. If you mean career wise, probably a total of 1.5-2 months. Further, 45 lbs was my ultimate max weight. I would not hang all day at that weight. Far from it. As I said, that was the weight that would bring on fatigue, and I would lower it from there, sometimes very quickly. It was not unusual to drop to 25-30 lbs within a couple of sets.

Also, it took a long time to work up to that weight, max 1-2 lbs per week increase, remaining static for long periods, etc.
