More proof that long periods of hanging may be beneficial?

Anyone got some links on this bookmarked? I just did a search and got 7 pages of results to slog through. I know we have discussed plenty of times that noose = bad but don’t know exactly which threads to recommend. Marinera has to translate from the English so if you can point him to the actual threads that would be a help.

Here’s a good one: What’s the problem with noose shaped hangers?

But there aren’t posts of people reporting injuries with this kind of hangers; it’s Bib referring that users of this kind of devices had injuries - it’s not the same thing.

I want to add that often is called “noose-style hanger/extender/ADS” a device that isn’t really based on noose: is a noose what become tighter when the tension go up; a cord fixed just under the glans with an unmodifiable level of constriction isn’t a noose.

These devices are really putting a lot of stress in a little area, but they don’t cut off so much circulation; so, again, where are the proof that they are so dangerous? Aren’t extender designed this way? I never heard of serious injuries from them, and posts on this site seem to sustain the believing that stretching is more dangerous.

Maybe it’s because we have been raising hell with the guys that try these devices? Most have more sense and realize that putting a noose around the head of your dick isn’t a good thing. Also people have been warning against the noose type attachments longer than Bib has been selling his hangers.

I tried hanging several year ago. I purchased a bib and went at it. For me it is impossible to get that kind of time needed to dedicate myself for proper gains. Since then I have purchased a andromedical ads (noose type) because it can be worn “all” day. The noose style starts to get uncomfortable after 2 hours so I have to take it off for an hour. I have just ordered the vac extender and expect delivery this week I’m hoping this will help.

My question is, the manufacturers of these extenders say that if you wear them for x amount of hours per day you will see gains. Is this true or do you have to do some stretching at the same time and if so about how much. Like I said time is my biggest issue

Boy I don’t know where your coming from, but I say go ahead and use a noose. We haven’t had an injury report from one of those in so long we need a reminder.

And..no! extenders don’t use noose’s to attach in general.

Note: noose’s don’t necessarily tighten when pulled on.

I don’t know where you are coming from also, and never questioned.

Exactly what I was saying: the hanger I use isn’t fixed with a noose, but with a loop.

Kdoc, take a look at the PPM - Pounds Per Minute theory. It is very interesting and I believe that can answer your question.

Heat Application While Hanging

I’ve mentioned this before on other threads, but I’ll mention it again because I think it’s important. It seems clear from the data cited by previous posts in this thread, good solid scientific data, that connective tissue elongation is facilitated by application of heat prior to loading, application of heat during loading, and removal of heat while maintaining load to “fix” the tissue in its elongated state.

I know that folks like to use IR lamps for this purpose, but I am persuaded that this is dangerous for hangers because of the hang times involved. The data cited in previous posts on this thread, which is of very high quality (thanks to the guys who found it), says we should maintain the highest tolerable temperature. Using an IR lamp for, say, three 20 minute sets would have us exposing ourselves to the lamp radiation for 60 minutes a day. Now the vendor information that comes with IR lamps always has a warning about exposure times. Mine said: “limit exposure to not more than 20 minutes per day.” This warning is prudent because those lamps deliver not only IR (what we want), but also UV—which can damage one’s skin and actually promote cancer.

As a fix, I advocate using everyday, normal incandescent bulbs. They generate a ton of IR, because they are only about 6% efficient: about 6% of the energy consumed by the bulb results in visible light (the desired quantity) and 93% of the energy is thrown off as … heat, that is, as IR radiation. In other words, there is no UV risk with these bulbs, or we’d all have to wear sun glasses in our homes.

Use a normal bulb guys. You need a reflector though! Go to Home Depot, or some such place, and get the type of lamp that comes with a small reflector (about 8” in diameter) and that has a clamp so you can fasten it where you need it.

Believe me, I’ve been doing this with good results for months now. Even a 60W incandescent bulb with reflector will throw of more heat that you can take—you just have to control the total heating by adjusting the distance between the bulb and the target—and thus you can use it your entire hang time, without risk. They’re cheaper than IR lamps too.

Happy Hanging.

Thanks for that.

Hey 6to9,

Thanks for the thread on time/weight.

After reading the whole thing I have come to a conclusion, unfortunately I don’t know what the conclusion is.

From my understanding, an ads will give you length by itself, it will just take longer?

I’m going to have to take this up I think. After a while of using an IR lamp, my dick just doesn’t look as healthy, maybe it’s the hell I’ve put it through, or maybe it is the IR lamp. I’ve never used it for too long, but my dick seems darker after a workout with IR lamp warm up and warm down. Maybe it’s just me though.

Very interesting reading. If my understanding is correct this would show that moderately low weight over longer time periods will increase length. If that holds true, them the weight and time limits to obtain growth well very between individuals. However the proper combination of each (time&weigth) with regard to recovery periods will provide steady growth without the plateaus. My question is how to find the proper combination of weight and time? Does the 5.14% apply to living tissue and is there a layman’s way of finding it if it does. This is great stuff but more intellectual and academic minds (better than mine)will needed to find a practical application of this knowledge.Awesome work looking forward to further post. I always seem to learn sometime new every time I come to Thunder’s.
