New to Hanging--Can't Get Rid of Hard Dick

Hey guys,

I am new to hanging and am in the experimental stage now trying to get the right adjustments.

The problem I am having is that if I even look at my dick, it gets hard. I get hard when I wrap, so I have to concentrate on something like my grandmother to get soft. When I put the Theraband on, wham! I am hard again. Myhardon eventually subsides, but when I strap on the Bib, there he goes again. I masturbate about 30 minutes before, hoping this will help. It does some, but … .

I am afraid of being partially erect while hanging. Will I eventually get use to this and lose the erections? Suggestions?

After hanging for 10 minutes yesterday, I oozed a lot of pre-cum when I took off the hanger. Any of you guys experience this?

Geo, welcome aboard. I wish I had your problem! Hardons just by looking at it, sweet! The evil trouble I could cause at the nude beach would be worth any trouble with hanging. I am sure someone else here will have better, more workable advice than I. That said, why can’t you masturbate right before hanging instead of 30 minutes before? Wouldn’t that help?

Yeah, I agree with Pirate. I would masturbate right before hanging, unless you plan on jelqing shortly afterwards. If you plan on jelqing, I would try to find something else.

As to the erections, so long as it doesnt mess up my wrapping, I just let it ride. Usually, if your hard, after a few minutes of hanging 15 lbs off it, it settles down.

It think the worries associated with erect bends are not applicable to erect hanging. Different physics. Conclusion: Dont sweat it.

The reason for not hanging erect isn’t necessarily the danger. Hanging will be WAY less effective if you hang erect because you won’t be stretching the ligs/tunica.

That is a dangerous thing to do hob, I would sit and wait for the erection to subside fully before putting the weight on. Serious injuries have been reported from hanging when not fully flaccid behind the hanger.

When you hang while semi or fully erect, the tunica is being stretched laterally and longitudinally. This is all too much stress for the tunica to take, it will likely tear. Please do not do it!

Excellent commentary, gentlemen. Glad to hear that I am not the only one with this issue. I’ll try masturbating just before hanging and in between sessions. This should help.

And the advice about about hanging erect is well heeded. I’ll keep experimenting until I find what works best for me.

I used to have the very same problem Geo… but I never hung until the erection subsided… but it was very annoying to have to do that alot, so what I did was exercise for a bit. Simple shadow boxing seemed to help the most, … maybe silly, but you should try it…. I did that for about 3 - 4 mins straight, exhausted myself, and didn’t get an erection for quite a while.

Yeah, masturbating prior to is one solution: another thing that was mentioned in another thread was PEing on a full stomach so that your bloodflow is in your stomach and not your johnson.

I can only smile and agree with Pirate…someday you’ll remember that easy wood with a wistful longing.
Other than that you’ll find me standing right behind SS4 vigorously nodding my head. Do whatever you must to calm that boy down.

On the positive side, your erections are a great indication that despite introducing a serious new stress on your penis it remains in an excellent state of health. I personally work myself to full erection at points during and after a day of hanging- just to put my mind at ease. And I imagine the fresh blood helps heal faster.
