Possible To Sit While Hanging?

Is it possible to sit while hanging, or do you have to usually stand? I tried searching for an answer, but the search function on Thunders doesn’t seem to be so great, hehe. I’m contemplating investing in a decent hanger, but not sure if I want to shell out the money to also have to do a lot of standing, haha.

Yes, I think if allot of people had to stand they wouldn’t stick to it.

Straight down = sit at the edge of the chair/sofa and let it dangle straight down.

Between the cheeks = you need to sit close to the edge with your feet up on a desk, table or something else and the penis/Hanger will dangle between your ass cheeks.

Straight out = this would require a pulley system of sorts

Fulcrum = sitting on chair and using a bar, broom stick, rolling pin (you get the idea) across your lap and the penis drapes over the fulcrum.

We have a Cable Weight Stand…. it’s a Harbor Freight stand. I modify the roller with a delrin ring that I machine with a cable guide groove, and attach to the roller. We supply a 5’ long cable with eyehooks on each end and a double ended clasp so that you can hook it to your weight. The stand has about 15* degrees of roller adjustment height so you can adjust it to the height of the chair you are seated in.

I installed a screw eye under my desk into the table top just in front of my chair. I run a rope through the eye. The weight goes on the end pointing down. The other one attaches to my hangar. Because the rope hangs up in the eye a little bit due to friction, I never really know how much weight I’m hanging for absolute sure. I just go by feel. That much tension feels like 8 pounds.. It’s 8 pounds. Because of the friction I can add more, or take some off just by pulling the rope through the eye a little bit either way and letting it hang up there. I find that about a minute after I start, I feel like tension has gone out of the line so I pull it a little tighter. I don’t think it’s the tension in the line. It’s my penis stretching out to the point I need more tension to tighten it up again. I usually have to do it three times before it stops.

I know it’s not ideal but I can go for hours on end doing it. I have a quick disconnect ring on the hangar end of the rope I can attach and disconnect in seconds. I think it would be good if you spent a lot of time at a desk at home. You could do whatever you’re doing and hang at the same time. That’s why I do it.

If I worked at a desk at home or could do home office, I would have so much extra PE time, especially for something like hanging. Unfortunately I’m in Education, so it wouldn’t be easy for me to get in a lot of hours hanging. Hoping to change careers soon though, and possibly to one where I’d be at desk more often, and then this would be a lot easier! Thanks for the idea!

Everyone has the exact same amount of time in the day… 24 hours. Busy work schedules and family can make it challenging to find time to train. If you’re really motivated to make gains you’ll need to find time train. Reorganizing your day and sticking to a disciplined schedule is key. Getting up an hour earlier in the morning is one suggestion.

I agree that consistency and a disciplined schedule are key. I’ll have to do some tinkering with my schedule to figure out where I can come up with a few extra hours. With hanging though, I would need to work up to eventually a two hour time block 5 times a week (according to the Hanging Thread), and that would be quite difficult for me right now. Or do you recommend less hanging time per week?

I always tell guys to do what you can with the time you have. Look for opportunities to squeeze in a work out even if it’s only 15 minutes.

Do you think 15 minutes here and there would be sufficient over the long term? I definitely understand wanting to take advantage of time when you can, but I’m just wondering if that intensity would be too low for gains?

If the best erection you can get is still a bit soft and not quite 100% stiff, more like 80% or maybe even less, even 15 minutes will help you. A good 15 minute a day jelq session is going to improve your blood flow over time. If you’re at 80% erect, you’re not at your maximum length or girth. You don’t really have to stretch or “grow” anything to get a gain. You already have more in reserve you’re not using. You just have to improve blood circulation to access it, manual exercise will do that. Even only a little bit a day.

If you’re already 100% like I was when I started, I have my doubts. Those kinds of gains only come with great effort like they do with me. I have to fight hard and long for every 1/16 of an inch. But I still say try anyway. I think if you can find the time to work for 15 minutes, you’ll eventually figure out a way to do 15 minutes more at some other point in the day, then maybe an hour. You’ll work it in. Do the 15 minutes and see what you can work out from there.

Good point Knocker! I’m going for 20 min single sets at the moment per day with my Extender and will try to build on that. Thanks for the pep talk! ;)

15 minute training sessions

A 15 minute session done daily over a long term won’t yield a multi-inch gain, but it will help produce some growth. It will also provide a foundation for the future when you have more time for PE. Good habits lead to success, bad habits or neglect are like a warm bed, easy to get into, hard to get out of.
