The Wulf Hanger
Hey Guys,
I have been using this very simple hanger for a few weeks now. It was very inexpensive and seems to work well.
The materials are all available at most hardware or plumbingsupply stores.
They are:
Foam Pipe insulation - I use 1 1/2” diameter cut about 2” long.
2 ordinary hose clamps - I use 2 1/2” diameter.
Cotton (cloth) strips approx 2” wide by 24” length.
Picture hanging wire.
Application:
Wrap as usual with cotton strip.
Apply pipe insulation over the wrap and hold in place.
Place hose clamp over pipe insulation and tighten to hold in place.
For second clamp I have pre-attached some picture hanging wire to
make a loop to hold the weight.
Attach the second clamp in the same fashion as the first.
Tighten both clamps now for weight application.
Add weight to loop.
It takes a little bit to get the feel for the application. Make sure that the pipe insulation is trimmed to fit your flacid diameter and change it often.
