vac hanging discomfort

Anyone got any good methods for preventing pain in the tip of the glans when vac hanging ?

I started using the blue self adhesive bandage stuff which was ok up to 6lbs but above that I get a pinching pain right at the tip.

I’ve added a layer of micropore tape on the head under the blue tape which prevents blisters but not the pain.

Any suggestions ?

Micropore tape help to avoid blisters but do not prevent them entirely as far as I know.

How long are your sets? Are you sure you don’t create too much vacuum compared to the weight you use?

Maybe you moved up in weight a bit quickly or do a lot of hours and need time to adjust?

I had a bit of stinging / pinching at the glans , kept going and sure enough I ended up with a nice blister.

I been doing newbie routine for some time now, like 3months or so.

Just couple days ago started to do much more intense routine.

Warming up with IR lamp for 15min, then doing more intense stretching with extender than before for up to 8hours, with heating periodically and with 5min break each hour.

Then at evening I add some manual stretching or jelqs for an hour, also with heating.

Did 2days and 1off, today once I tried to apply extender again it hurts under my penis head where I apply force mostly once stretching, maybe I did pull it too tight idk

Should I take some days off and heal the pain with heat and continue once the pain is not anymore there? Or its common for such an extender as size genetics. And I can continue but just a bit less pressure ?

It’s taken 2 months to build up to 1 hour at 7lbs, I’ve only had blisters where the wrap was creased, lesson learned.
It’s the pinching at the tip that’s the problem, can’t figure what’s causing it.

Could it be a nerve being pressed against the cylinder? (just guessing)

I’m not sure kickinthemebs is around anymore but I’m sure he would have something more relevant to say.

A few ideas to try:

1) try 3m microfoam tape, not micropore tape. It is thicker, comes off more easily, and protects the skin better. I use a couple of layers to reduce blisters.
2) you may have a poorly fitting end cap. If you visit monkeybar’s website, he has some tips on choosing the right size.
3) you may have skin pinching. before you put on the cap, carefully straighten out the skin so it doesn’t bunch up under the cap or vacuum ring
4) you may have an air pocket inside the end cap. as you evacuate the air when putting it on, gently pull on the end cap a few times to pull your penis away from the air intake to get more air out.
5) your glans might be binding on the end cap as you put it on. I put a thin coat of vaseline (hand lotion works too) on the inside of the cap to let it slide on better.
6) if you are using monkeybar’s most recent design, I find it mashes my glans up against the end of the cap and that can be painful. Monkeybar is very helpful; he might have some ideas for you to try to make his newest design more comfortable.

I’ve just tried the foam tape, it seemed a bit better.

I’m trying to work out why this happens. I managed to rig my hand pump to the chamber to test the pressure.
I can comfortably pump to 15”hg with no discomfort yet even at 10”hg I get pinching when I attach the weight, there’s no visual pull away from the end of the chamber at any pressure.
Odd.

Problem solved for the time being.
Tape the head first with a couple of pieces of micropore tape then wrap as normal with the blue bandage stuff.
The trick is to squeeze your head as large as you can as you apply the micropore as it doesn’t really stretch.

Now hanging 8.5lb in total comfort.
I suspect as the weight goes up I may have to add another layer of tape though.

You were a big advocate of hanging with water. I see now that you are wrapping with tape. I am curious what is the reason for that?

Long story !
I was using water with no problems but I switched to tape when I started doing my hanging in the mornings as I couldn’t get peace in the bathroom.
I got up to around 9lbs with tape but then kept getting blisters and after trying a few different methods I took a break.
Started hanging again about a month back using water again, up to 6.5lbs so far no problems but time will tell.
Water is definitely way more comfortable and I’ve been testing out a silicone toe protector combined with water which looks promising.

It seems most things work at lower weights, the problems all start around 8-9lbs.
I much prefer water so I’m focusing on making that work for now.

I gave up on Vachanging. I just don’t think it’s a viable option for most guys.

I use the bathroom to put on the hanger and then I hang in my room. When you’re done you can just empty the water in a cup. I’m up to the same amount of weight myself. Planning to go up a pound a week. There seems to be quite a bit of pressure on my glans though. More than I remember the first time. Hopefully it’s just a matter of getting used to it.

What was your issue with Vachanging and why is not viable for most guys? People have made gains with Vachanging. What are you doing instead?

I have noticed that the glans seem to condition fast to the pressure but if I take 2 days off I’ll get some red spots instantly, the trick is to do at least a short set everyday.
The protector cap I guess helps compress the skin surface and baby powder keeps moisture away, still playing around with it so too early to decide.

Ya I am hanging everyday right now around two hours a day. Highest I got to was seven pounds but that’s more than I got to with the Bib. My goal is to reach 10 pounds. With judicious use of angles and fulcrums that should be enough to see moderate gains. Even now I am feeling some serious stretching in my shaft. My penis even starts kind of shaking like it’s fighting the stretch. Think of when your holding something really heavy and your grip is fighting not to let it go. I am applying heat to hopefully coax it to give into the stretch. Not sure what else I could do. I am sure this is where chemical PE would be beneficial if I were into that sort of thing. Kind of like using a muscle relaxant.

Have you ever done any bundles or fulcrums? I’m not sure when or how I should incorporate them into my routine.

Also are you circumcised? There’s a thread over on pegym by DreamOn about hanging using your foreskin to protect glands. It’s 100% blister proof and sounds promising. Even if you are cut, you can use available skin to pull over glands. You should check it out.

Can you link to the toe caps you are using? I want to order some.
