After the 15 minutes was up, I lifted the weight and walked over to my bed so I could remove the hanger. As I did this I felt an extreme sort of differential pressure on the head of my penis. When I removed the hanger there was blood leaking through the micropore tape. I knew this was serious because there was a lot of blood. I just stared at my penis for like 5 minutes, heartbroken in a way. I then cleaned up the mess, almost in tears, and thought about my recovery schedule and how long I would be out of action. I didn’t want to be out of action for too long, because in my experience the ligs start to really toughen up after a couple weeks of inactivity. I thought that I would give my penis a week off, and then try to do a single set in a week’s time. Well, I just tried to do the set about a half hour ago. I lasted about two minutes. I could tell something was wrong, it didn’t feel right. When I removed the hanger there were around 20 blue/black spots on my penis head. And so here I am. Unfortunately, I think I might be finished with vaccuum hanging. The penis simply cannot withstand the pressure when you hang with heavier weights. At 14 pounds, I had to reduce my sets to 15 minutes because I could not tolerate the pain. Not to mention the fact that blisters could easily form if I went the full 20 minutes. The bottom line is that vaccuum hanging is only safe up to I would say 10 pounds. You can try and push it to about 15 pounds if you’re lucky. But hanging any more than 15 pounds is just asking for an injury. My advice to those considering purchasing a hanger would be to go with the Bib. That’s not to say that vaccuum hanging is ineffective. It clearly works, you just have to be super careful. I will always remember my vaccuum hanging days fondly, and I’m so happy to have gained even .75 inches. But I have not yet reached my goal of 7 NPB length, and so there is more work to be done. If you’re after extreme gains, you will have to eventually switch to the Bib anyways, even if you started out with the vaccum hanger. At this point, I will probably purchase a Bib Starter and continue to hang. Or I’ve considered buying a vaccuum pump and see if I can get length gains that way.

Did you get your “lig” gains yet? Those come pretty quickly, and in the SD or BTC positions.

The rest are shaft gains.

I’m looking forward to trying the LG Hanger which should be out later this month because it’s a vacuum hanger that can handle heavier weight. I’m assuming that it will be similar to the Grip System, but with thicker soft parts to allow heavier weights to be used.

Yes, I believe that 100% of my gains were lig gains. I have been strictly hanging SD, in fact I have never tried another angle. I figured that since my penis still does not hang straight down when flaccid, that I have yet to maximize my lig gains. I’m starting to realize that there’s a lot of hanging information that I’ve been unaware of. I should really spend more time on these forums :)

.75” in length is great! Did you gain any girth gains (BEG, MSEG, etc), and how much?

One of my problems is that I’ve never seen a video or image of a vac-hanger in use. So I don’t really know the difference between a Vac and a Bib. From looking at the vac hangers it seems like perhaps it hangs via suction of the glans? Is there an instructional video anywhere on this site that might show me a Vacuum-style Hanger in action?

When I was using the vac hanger I would keep a rice sock on my shaft while hanging. I did have problems with blisters from the vac hanger an will probably never use it again. When I was using the BIB I was hanging for 4 hours a day and somewhere around 120hours of hanging I started to bleed out the tip of my dick and I haven’t been back to BIB hanging since (which was a few years ago), but I’m planning on getting back to hanging once my kid starts school and I have more privacy.

I’m thinking one of the biggest problems with a vac hanger is the fact that no matter how you package it, it is still in fact a vacuum chamber with no gauge. Add in the fact that the harder your resistance pulls on the end, the higher the vac goes, the higher the risk for injury from blisters. I think if you DID have a gauge on the vac hanger, you would be alarmed with how high the pressure (hg) is. Most likely it would read over 10HG which is the upper limit of safe pumping pressure. I would think it would be nearly impossible to avoid the pressure from going too high as more weight is added no matter how you wrap as air will creep through just about any material that is even remotely porous.

Might as well forget the hanging, grab a regular penis pump and pump to unsafe pressures, as that is exactly what you mimic doing with a vac hanger once you go past “X” weight level, right?

If you tape the glans properly the vacuum doesn’t hurt it.

This is an interesting observation, Clamplover.

Do you feel that these vacuum levels would still be ‘alarmingly’ high even with lighter weights, say 5 lbs or less? I plan to hang no more than 8lbs tops, ever. My dick can’t take those heavier weights!

I realize you question was to him. But i have been using my vacuum hanger with ~3lbs of weight here lately. The vacuum exerted is light.

The nice thing about vacuum hangers is they only exert the force necessary to hold the weight being hung *(i.e. 2lbs vacuum is MUCH less than if you have 10lbs hanging)

I’m guessing and don’t honestly know. Are there any vac hangers on the market with gauges on them to measure the HG inside when weights are attached? I know when I use my penis pump and have occasionally “milked” the tube by pulling forward on it, the vac temporarily increases, by a couple HG. I can only imagine what weights would do.

How much taping are you using? Do you take the tape off and apply new tape each set? How long are your sets?

I personally don’t tape with the vacuum hanger. As i said now i only use it with 2~3lbs and about 15min sets, there is a small bit of puffyness to the tip of the glans but if you “roll” your unit between your palms like your warming your hands on a cold day it goes away almost immediately.

I have went up to ~12lbs with the vacuum hanger with no issues other than having to make totally sure you have all loose skin pulled out of the sleeve *(it will let you know if you didn’t with one hell of a pinch).

I’m skeptical that it’s no different than the old ‘Max Vac” hanger from a few years ago. Over hyped and won’t deliver anything but blister problems to most men except for a select few (wink wink) who have no problems of course.

The inventors and developers of the LG hanger are participating in a thread over at the PEGym. They also recently sent LG Hangers to some of the administrators to test and review. There should be some good feedback in a month or two. The inventor/developer, Dr. Ric, claims to have tested it upto 25 lbs without an issue.

Appears the “Dr” is co inventor to whatever degree. Looks like Dan Salas who was also involved with “Max Vac” is also involved with this hanger. I’ve done a lot of reading and research on both of these vac hangers the last few days out of curiosity and I’m not seeing anything “new” with this hanger in comparison to the Max Vac. Smells fishy to me but I don’t know. Maybe “co inventor” means investor?
