wondering if lower weights stimulate growth

Im wondering if hanging lower weights actually stimulates growth or if hanging lower weights is just to condition you to the point of actually hanging sgnificant weight for growth. Maybe a bit of both?

There is a lot of information on this site, try doing some searches or just read up on old hanging threads. The general consensus is that you need a certain level of weight to reach fatigue to deform the tunica and stretch the ligs. Some people get gains without fatigue, but that is rare and usually early on.

Like RG said t’s all about the fatigue. I’ve reached fatigue at 8 lbs and at 28 lbs. It’s when you FEEL the tissues stretching beyond their limit and they ache, like a sprained ankle, and you CAN’T go on hanging at that weight for much longer. Of course, then you drop the weight a lb or two and hang at THAT weight until you can’t hang. This is all based on your time/privacy limits.

You’re deformed enough for the day when you hang at HALF your max weight (probably what you started at) and it’s not comfortable. Hanging beyond that, like if your starting weight is 8 and you’re now hurting while hanging at 4, is not as productive. Don’t bother hanging until you reach fatigue at 2. In this situation you should switch angles. If you were hanging BTC, now hang OTS. Try your max weight there, and hang down to half, etc etc. Keep doing this until you have to go to work or your girl walks in.

If the next day after hanging down from 8 to 4, you’re hurting at 5, hang there, and utilize that fatigue. Hang until half of that. Now we’re talking.

ADS in between sessions? Awesome. That = inches.

And keep doing all of this. For years.

Look, more is more with hanging. Forget the PI’s.. Hang until fatigue then hang less until fatigue, a LOT.

You seem to hang a lot racco! What is your routine right now and how many days a week?

I tried hanging 7 days a week for 4-6 sets per day, but the fatigue was messing with my erections a bit, especially directly after a hanging set. You ever get this?

However, right now in my 4th week I’m still finding my feet. I’m actually quite fearful of fatigue, it is the sitation where you need to know the feeling and you’ll recover the next day before you push on.

What I’m doing right now is say hanging 3 sets at a weight, then moving up in weight every 4 or so day very slightly to see the effect in my 4th and final set.

However, the ideal eventually after a month or two will be where I fatigue in the second set then half max in later 2 sets to target all fibres.

Have you tried edging right after your final set RandomGiant to check your eq? Could that diminished eq be the result of lymphatic fluid build up?

I usually edge after each set to restore circulation, then I do push ups/sit ups to bring me back to full flaccid before starting a new set. I was having trouble staying hard a couple days ago after my last couple sets so I took a day off and I was fine again. No, no lymphatic fluid whatsoever, but it could have been caused by excessive pressure in my glans. Or it might have been that my dick wasn’t accustomed to hanging that much weight/time yet.

Recently I have been hanging very light weight for an expanded amount of time. 3-5 sets of light hanging at most only 1.5lbs because thats what my crappy self-made hanger can withstand. Each set is about 20-30 minutes. Inbetween every set I do a brief rice sock warm up. Before commencing my hanging for the day, I do some JAI stretches. About 2-3 sets of 15 reps.

I beleive in the less(weight) more(hours) theory. Makes alot of sense to me. Especially when you take the case study of the Karamojong tribe from North Eastern Uganda. The boys start wearing stone discs at the corona ridge during the onset of puberty. They gradually increase the weights. Some have been able to even triple their flaccid size. But the downset is that they loose their erectile ability. Due to nerve damage and the corpus cavernosa’s loss of ability to allow blood flow. Another is the Paduang tribe of Burma, commonly known as the “giraffe neck women”. The women of these tribe place number of rings around their necks in order to elongate them. But the change was’nt instant, it tooks years. Bottomline is that time x extension = gains. And most importantly unlike the Karamojong boys, we need to take breaks.

Monitor your eq, if you ask me that should be a golden rule that all hangers should follow. Hanging(especially with heavy weights) really is a robust exercise on the penis. If you don’t do right you can kiss goodbye to your beloved stiffies.

I’ve asked for veterans advise and they tell me condition your penis first before you start hanging. The general consensus is always start with the newbie routine first. I however decided that I love hanging but I also want to do manual pe. So I tailored the linear newbie routine to my liking and used this light hanging as a complement. It seems to serve as an ads cum light weight hanger that taxes the ligs abit. So far I’m thinking that I’m doing well. But what the hell do I know? I’m new and only just started. We’ll see how it goes, I have my hopes up high. Keeping my fingers crossed for now.
