A Homemade Pump. Yes a Pump, not a cylinder.

I am getting an aspirator too. I got one for only $20 plus $18 shipping on eBay. I’ll let you know how noisey it is. My Gast DOA-101 is not too bad. I will try to find something to compare it to.

But I seem to have a problem with my Omron delay timer (from eBay) and would like to know how it should be connected? I think the 120V input should be connected to pins 2 and 7 and the output should be connected to either pins 3 & 6 or to 4 & 5. Is this correct? Please help.

want2b7, you were very close! Here’s how to do it:

Common input goes to pins 1 & 2

Hot input goes to pins 7 & 8

This gives you 2 sets of outputs.

Normally closed outputs will be 4 (common) and 5 (hot)

Normally open outputs will be 3 (common) and 6 (hot)

Your solenoid will determine which pair of outputs to use. Normally, you’ll want the solenoid to pass vacuum when the timer is on.

That fixed my problem. I wasn’t connecting the input to pins 1 & 8. It works fine now. I need to make some changes to the brass airways to allow for a more complete vacuum release, but basically I got it working last night. Based on something you had said I got a 3-way solenoid valve, and this morning it came to me that these valves should help make a more complete vacuum release if I connect it up right.

The 3-way will give a more complete release. It gives the dick a better chance to recover during the rest phase and makes the stretch even nicer. I had to hook mine up “backwards” to make it do what I wanted too. It took some playing around with to get it going.

Let me know what you think of the aspirator. I’m really curious about their noise level. They appear to be very compact too. And the collection cup has an interesting usage too… :)

Since this seems to be the Popular Mechanics section of pumping, has anyone used a Schuco 130 aspirator-vac as a vacuum source? They seem to be readily available on e-bay at a reasonable price, although maybe a little under powered at 2.5 amps. The size and price seems compelling. Also does anyone have a source of the manual vacuum release button valve that appears on Kaplan’s electric vacuum pumping system?

want2b7 has purchased an aspirator, so we’re waiting on his report. 2.5 amps just migh be enough to do the job. I’ve got a small pump like that and it will pull 22". It takes it time getting there, but it does do it. It has no problems pulling a quick 5", which is at the upper end of my comfort zone.

Those Kaplan types valves might be hard to come by. They seem to be a specialty item. I found some here but don’t see a way to order them: http://www.medi bix.com/Runsear … rt=manufacturer

During any early attempt at doing a suck-n-release, I put a T coupling inline with the hose and used my thumb on the third port to regulate the cycles. That got really tiresome, so I began to use electrically switched valves. I’ll never go back to manual.

If you get one of those aspirators, please let us know. I’m really interested about the noise levels on those babies.

Where is the El-Pump video I keep hearing about?

I got the aspirator. It’s a DevilBis, but don’t have the model number with me or the power spec. It can pull about 20-22”. Something odd about it is that it looks like it’s exhaust port is plugged, intentionally.

If I compare it to my Gast DOA-101 it makes a bit more noise, but it’s not too bad. But I have a muffler/silencer on the Gast exhaust and little filter/mufflers on the needle valve intake and the open-air part of my 3-way solenoid valve. It seems the aspirator is a piston pump while the Gast is a diaphragm.

I really like my set up with the Gast! It sucks down fast and using the 3-way solenoid valve has a very fast release. It feels very good! I haven’t been able to use it much yet (my wife is with me most of the time lately), but should be able to play with it more next week and will compare it more to the aspirator pump with a similar set up. I think the aspirator should work fine and the one I got on eBay was only $20 and came with a gauge, needle valve and the collection container and an in-line air filter. I might do some “water-in-the-tube” pumping with it.

I’ll take some pictures next week and try to figure out how to add them to my post.

You’re welcome. I’ll keep a lookout for one of those valves. I wouldn’t mind having one myself.

It’s not too hard to wire-up an electronic release. You need a solenoid valve and some way to switch it, one of the best ways I think is using the Omron on/off delay timer. And if you can find these on eBay would save you some money. Read the earlier posts and they have links to show what these parts look like.

It’s a discontinued item, replaced by the 7305P-D. It cost $325 new. And it might actually be a diaphragm pump? The person I got it from said they have more to sell. I found it by searching on eBay for “suction pump”.

They have an online catalog for non-dealers, and it looks as if they will sell to the public. They have both push-button and toggle switch valves.

I hooked-up the DeVilbiss aspirator pump last night and it is actually pretty quiet, more so than my Gast DOA-101. It reminds me of when a refrigerator pumps turns on.

I did an experiment to focus the vacuum on the head of my dick by putting a piece of Cyberskin tubing (from my Venus 2000) into one of my cylinders, just enough to cover my dick up to the head when it’s fully engorged. It seemed to work pretty good (and felt pretty good too!). I’m really liking my new toy!

BTW: I saw an Omron H3CR-F8 on eBay listed as: Omron H3CR-F8 Twin timer Item number: 7540111116 from someone in the UK Starting bid is GBP 5$ (about US $9). Buy it now GBP $10 (US $18)
