Alternating Pressure During Pump Session

Alternating Pressure During Pump Session

My first introduction to pumpimg was (believe it or not) over 27 years ago using the Chartham Method, which comprised of pumping and manual exercises. I followed that programme for only a short time (a combination of laziness and lack of privacy). I returned to pumping in the mid 1990’s when I purchased a Japanese device called ‘Handsome Up’, which was a reasonably good quality one size tube with rubber bulb pump. I stuck with this device for some time and made good gains using a method of entering the tube flaccid, pumping to erection, releasing all pressure and then re-inflating. This constant pump and release was continued for the whole session of 20 to 40 minutes. The device was sold as a PE method and the ‘pump and release’ was the only method recommended. Fast forward to last week. All my recent pumping has been based on Pumping 101, constant pressure, sets of 20 minutes etc. During a recent pumping session a ball slipped into the tube so I had to release pressure to remove it. Having done this I had lost my erection, but instead of trying to stimulate an erection I entered flaccid and pumped to erection. The strength of the erection impressed me and it reminded me of the Japanese method so I proceeded to release and re-inflate for the remainder of the 20 minute set. I have been stuck on a plateau for some time and I’m thinking that a return to this ‘alternating pressure’ method that served me well in the past just might be worth trying again. My question is, has anyone on the forum used this or a similar method on a consistent basis and can they offer any thoughts on its effectiveness as an alternative to the usual constant pressure method?

Interesting. Sorry, I cannot respond to your questions at this time, as I am new to pumping. I too have wondered about this, as I have been experimenting with my pump. What pressuress do you inflate to? Is it a set point pressure or do you pump up to the point where it starts getting uncomfortable, then release? What were your gains using this method?

Start: 7.2" BPEL, EG = 5"

Current: 7 7/8" BPEL, 7" NBPEL, 8" BPFSL, EG(midshaft) = 5 5/8"

Goal: 8" NBPEL, EG = 6.5"

Also, I find I can gradualy increase pressure each time I release/pump, without feeling like my cock is going to explode. I just keep pumping until it tells me to stop, then release.

I think alternating pressure is a good idea, but nothing dramatic (maybe 1-3HG difference). My pump has a very small leak and over 2-3 minutes, I’ll lose 1hg. I’ll just pump it back to where it was (5hg) and I can feel it in my penis.

As for high pressure pumping. Don’t do it. I have gone all the way up to 18hg and it doesn’t do anything, except massive fluid buildup. If you go up to 18hg, I believe the penis will get used to that pressure, and you’d have to go higher for gains. This is why you start low (2-3hg) and then work your way up to 5hg over the course of a month or even a few months. Then, go back down. Kind of like “waving”. I stopped pumping for a month after pumping with high pressure just to decondition my penis.

Powerlifters and weightlifters in Russia do waves when they train. I know the penis isn’t a muscle, but the cells in the body act the same way. That is why people gain after a decon break. The body deconditions itself and when it receives new stimulus, it grows :)

Remember, you are exercising your penis, not trying to kill it, unless your body has a unbelievable recovery rate, which is probably 1 in a million, literally.
