Alternating Pressure During Pump Session
My first introduction to pumpimg was (believe it or not) over 27 years ago using the Chartham Method, which comprised of pumping and manual exercises. I followed that programme for only a short time (a combination of laziness and lack of privacy). I returned to pumping in the mid 1990’s when I purchased a Japanese device called ‘Handsome Up’, which was a reasonably good quality one size tube with rubber bulb pump. I stuck with this device for some time and made good gains using a method of entering the tube flaccid, pumping to erection, releasing all pressure and then re-inflating. This constant pump and release was continued for the whole session of 20 to 40 minutes. The device was sold as a PE method and the ‘pump and release’ was the only method recommended. Fast forward to last week. All my recent pumping has been based on Pumping 101, constant pressure, sets of 20 minutes etc. During a recent pumping session a ball slipped into the tube so I had to release pressure to remove it. Having done this I had lost my erection, but instead of trying to stimulate an erection I entered flaccid and pumped to erection. The strength of the erection impressed me and it reminded me of the Japanese method so I proceeded to release and re-inflate for the remainder of the 20 minute set. I have been stuck on a plateau for some time and I’m thinking that a return to this ‘alternating pressure’ method that served me well in the past just might be worth trying again. My question is, has anyone on the forum used this or a similar method on a consistent basis and can they offer any thoughts on its effectiveness as an alternative to the usual constant pressure method?
