Bathmate sizing

Bathmate sizing

Good afternoon and I am glad to be here. Started doing PE this yr although I have read about it over the years and always was the back of my mind. Now that I am in my mid 40’s, I am starting to notice some ED issues and not able to maintain an erection during intercourse or masturbation. I have been doing the newbie routine per the guidelines here. I was looking to purchase a bathmate pump and the sizing I am curious about. According to the website my size says I should get the Hydromax7. I was looking at the Hydromax 5 thinking that might be a better pump to go with initially & work my way into the Hydromax7 at some point. My size is what is my I am asking b/c from what I could find it looks like the hydromax5 has enough room for 7.25” and the base being for someone that is much more girth than I have. Thoughts for this newbie?

Starting measurements
BPFL = 4.1” (10.5 cm)
Mid flaccid girth =4.25”
BPEL = 6.2” (16 cm)
Mid erect girth = 4.75”

We have a few bathmate users here, but the majority do not use them as they have no gauge to monitor the vacuum level you are exposing your penis to. We recommend “air pump” systems with gauges, which can be used with water if an inline fluid trap is used. You do not want water to get into the vac pump.

Common vendors include Leluv and Pumptoys. You can buy a kit with vac pump, hose and acrylic tube, or can buy the components individually. Amazon is one of many vendors which carry them.

Read this for sizing the cylinder, and size it based on your the largest girth, not just mid shaft.
Selecting Your Cylinder Size

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

@32quaters, Thanks for the reply & insight to the guage being used on the pump. Much appreciate the sizing chart.

Totally agree with 32 with regards to the air pump vs bathmate.

If for whatever reason you decide to go forward with a bathmate I have a barely used hydro7 and hydromax9 sitting around that are taking up space. Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Bathmate is a waste, it works for 12 weeks then you go backwards, no consistency in pressure. I wasted 6 month’s on a bathmate, bought a luluv with a gauge due to senior members advice, and it works much better

I will play devils advocate here. I started using a wet pump like the bathmate( Penomet). I like the ability to use water to heat during the pumping process. I had pretty decent results with a combo of other PE exercises. I now dry pump and realized how taxing wet pumping was. 3 days wet pump with 112 degree water really messed with my EQ. So now I will mix it in to my workout. I know now what different pressures feel like 👍

Thanks everyone for the replies. I’m leaning towards the LeLuv or I’ve found another model on Matters of Size site that has a water reservoir to use the vac pump as a wet pump as well. It’s a mityvac with cylinder.
