Buying My First Pump

Hi guys,

I’m going to be ordering my first pump from LA Pump. Well, I did have a pump a few years ago. I tried it a few times, but the cylinder was too big for me at the time so I never bothered with it again.

I’m ordering the deluxe package. I’m around 5.25” girth and just over 7” NBP on a good day. So I’m assuming a 1.75” x 10” would fit me fine? I was going to order a 9” at first, but would 10” be better? Or wouldn’t it really matter that much?

I would think a 2” would be better unless you are looking for length only. Also, I would imagine a 9” would be fine. Anyway, I’m no expert but they should be chiming in shortly.

Only reason I opted for a 1.75” is because the other cylinder I had was 2” and seemed way to big. My girth was propably about 0.1” shorter back then, but I still think a 2” would be too big for me now.

That’s weird you say that because I purchased a cheap 1.75” when I was 5.5” EG and it was too small. Well at least to small to get any kind of girth expansion. If you fit nicely into a 1.75” maybe you should consider getting a 2” also and stage it.

Here’s the deal for me. Please help!

My base girth [right at the bottom] is: 6.5
My Lower Middle Girth [on the shaft] is: 5.25
My Middle/Upper Middle Girth [on the shaft] is: 5.7
My head size is: 5.25

My Erect length is: 7.7 / 7.8 [BP]

So if I order, how wide should the cylinder be? 2 1/4 inches?
and how big should the cylinder be? 10 inches?

Does 2 1/4 x 10 sound good for a pump?

Oh also, LA Pump ship to the UK, right? It doesn’t say on their website, at least not anywhere I can see. But I seem to remember countless times that is has been stated they ship int. on these forums.

I just got my pump from LAP on Tuesday and it’s awesome. My base girth is a little over 5” so I went with the 10”x1.75” cylinder and get a perfect seal every time (3 sessions so far). I’m sure I’ll have to invest in the 2” in a matter of months but I’d rather do this right than take chances with wrong sizes.

I really want to re-thank gprent and avocet for all the guidance and wisdom they provide on this topic. The key for me is starting SLOW and light; I haven’t gone over 3hg and that’s fine by me. I’ll post more after my first full week with regards to how my unit is responding. Good luck!

Marco - first of all nice stats there bud. As for sizing, gprent could probably assist you better than I, but I know the LA Pump website has a measuring chart to determine the proper cylinder fit and judging from that you’d probably be a 2” or 2.25” — any thoughts, gp?

fauxreal: thanks dude, I built it pretty well over the years… what I’d like to do is get to my desired size and then write a HUGE report on my PE experience over the years, going through everything that I have tried and how it effected my gains. Oh and lose some body fat too. Bummer.

Marco is very difficult but what else is new? :) I have never seen so many girth measurements! Even though your very bottom girth is large, the rest of your measurements would suggest a 2” diameter would be best. I’m thinking go with a 10” X 2”.

Any reason you decided on LA Pump over say , Vacutech?

For me, the main difference is the all metal brass pump sold by lapdist compared to the plastic pump sold by Vacutech.

I don’t know much about Vacutech’s product line but I agree that the quality construction and solid feel of the LAP pump is impressive.
