So I received my LA Pump in the mail today. I was excited to begin so first thing I got aroused, hooked up the pump, and began my first 10 minute session.

I was a little surprised at how much of the 2” tube I filled up…was expecting to possibly be too small for it since my girth is 6 and the recommended is barely borderline 2”, but it looks as though if my gains are decent at all I will be out of it soon. That’s alright my purposes were for length anyways so maybe it’s for the better.

I entered the tube erect and maintained a pressure of not less than 3 hg, but not more than 5 hg. I noted my dick was definitely engorged with blood…measured at a little over 8. at the bottom I was completely filling the tube, to about 1/4 of the way up my dick. Everything seemed to go well, no discomfort whatsoever.

After I removed the tube and my dick seemed to return to it’s previous state almost instantly.

My question is whether it is normal to have minimal “pump” after your first pumping session? I just want to do things right early on to maximize my gains and avoid problems later.

That’s normal. As you progress over months, the post-pump engorgement will begin to stay awhile, then last longer and longer.

Yes, pumping will be a nice compliment to hanging it seems! And it seems to be relatively simple and quick. Thanks for putting my fears to rest and your help earlier! I look forward to the coming months of pumping and many more! :)

damn, noticed some dark red/purple discolorations on the shaft on the bottom side.

Is this a reason to cease pumping until they heal? they are not painful at all, wouldnt have noticed them unless I looked.

they seem to be near hair follicles. I shaved yesterday during the day, could this be why? I think I need more lube next time.

Machtenx: Those are caused by the vacuum. Usually too much too quickly. Drop your Hg to about just enough to keep the cylinder on. It may be be 2-3. REALLY WARM up for about 10 minutes with warm washcloths or a heating pad. Now USE a good strong Vitamin E lube. I really like the bag balm with Palmer Coconut mixed. Jelq for about 4-5 minutes. I usually pump the balls while doing the warm up and jelq. Make sure of the frequent breaks. (See Avocet8 guidelines) and jelq the pump to supply fresh blood. Pump about every third day then every other day for a month. Then jelq or pump only 5 days a week. Also DRINK PLENTY of WATER especially an hour or so before your pump session.

Thanks for the advice Tennsteven! I will try what you said. One question though, how do you “jelq the pump” to supply fresh blood?

Just grasp the cylinder and lift it a half inch or so off your pubic bone. Don’t lift it so high that your cock hurts.

Better, though, to do short sets of 6 - 8 min each. Leave the tube after each, do some jelking or other manual exercise, then go back in, your penile vascular system having been totally re-oxiginated.

That was probably another problem, possibly the main one. Because I wasn’t familiar with the way the pump grasps your member I thought I had to force it against my body to maintain the vacuum. Found out this wasn’t true when I went to remove it, the bottom was a bit tight.

Do you think it would be better to start with two sets of 6-8 than one 10 minute set? That actually sounds good to me as I noticed my cock turning a little blue at the end of the set and a little extra volume would be nice.

EDIT oh, I got it….you were answering my question how to jelq in the tube…lol. oops!

Ten minute pumps work well for most newbies to pumping, but we all have different tissue compositions.

We try to avoid “blue cock.” ;-) Just reduce your sets to fewer minutes each. Don’t focus much on holding post-pump volume in the beginning of your pumping experience. Think more about the expansion you are getting in the tube. If it looks hard in there and it feels hard, it is hard. The post-pump fatness that you keep awhile will gradually kick in. Might take you weeks or months. Most report that as the erect penis becomes larger through gradual PE, flaccid also becomes larger. Not true for every one of us.

Peforeal’s discovery of the TheraP wrist wrap really helps maintain post pump engorgement. Consider getting one. Put it on immediately after you finish your PE routine and are still pretty much pumped up.

Do the TheraP wrist wraps and the like promote flaccid size mostly or erect size as well? I am really only interested in erect size…I don’t shower publicly often besidse with my girlfriend and at those times I am erect anyways. :)

Lucky you. :-)

I already had as much erect size as I wanted but I wasn’t getting comparable increases in flaccid when peforeal told me about the TheraP wrap. I use it for flaccid gain. Makes sense: If you heal the mico-tears which result from PE workouts in a larger rather than a smaller flaccid state, your flaccid size at least is likely to become larger.

I don’t know if the wrap increases erect gain. It sure worked well for me on the flaccid side.

Update:

Second time pumping I went with Avocet8’s advice and pumped for abuot 7 minutes each time, lubing much better.

I think my problem was definitely lube. When I pumped a large portion of my skin from my testicles was moving inside the tube, probably the cause of the discolorations since I hadn’t lubed too well

I think my pump was better a little overall.

One question after pump 3:

I always get myself completely hard before entering the tube, but naturally without stimulation I would assume my erection is decreased. I realize that’s what the pressure of the tube is for, but my question is:

Is it alright to come out of the tube and be flaccid within seconds, albeit a “pumped” flaccid?
