Just got a pump

Around 2 weeks ago I got a lapump . I been pumping 4 times a week at 2X 15 minutes . What’s the best hg to pump?

The one that works.
Most people seem to stay within the 3-5 hg range.

Thats safe, but myself and others don’t seem to see much “pump” from that amount.
I get a good length and girth stretch from 10 or more just to get it going, then I back off to a rest hg of about 5-8, and keep bleeding it off to allow circulation to return.
Then I cycle it back up and down.

Thanks tinytim , I my self get a good stretch at 10 and keep it there for 5 min then go down to 7. I was just worried that it wasn’t safe.

As far as safety, general guidelines are 5 and under. However, we always read guys like you going to 10, many times with no bad effects. We don’t know if you truly are doing 10 safely or you have faulty gauges.

However, a real accurate way to tell is red dots. IF your gauge says you are pumping at 10 in hg AND you aren’t getting red dots (or worse) then either you have very strong blood vessels or your gauge is off, either way, you are probably safe.

Red dots are the capillaries rupturing. If your capillary walls are failing, its a sure indicator that you are either using too high of a vacuum or at least as high as you should try to go.

So if you guys aren’t getting red dots, you are probably safe.

If I go over 5 hg, or exceed 20 minutes, I usually end up with a doughnut. Never had red spots but then I have never gone up to or above 10 hg for more than 30 seconds.
