Brake bleeder pump, LA pump cylinder, nothing special. Cheap setup. I did use a clear adhesive measuring tape I added to the cylinder to gauge bpel in the tube (Amazon $10). A tube with engraved measurements would be better.
Followed gprent’s incremental pump routine to condition my unit, then extended the pump until I could exceed bpel in the tube by 1/2 inch and pack the tube fairly well to the circ scar in terms of girth. Note, my pressures were higher than normally recommended, but for very short timeframes. I found this led to less edema than long times at lighter vacuum levels. 30 min at 5 in hg gave me more edema than my routine. I am circumcised though, so that makes me pretty sensitive to edema from the glans to circ scar.
No injury during the routine. I would back off if significant edema was present.
I did 3 10 minute cycles as follows, 5 days on, 2 days off. Did this in the shower, air pump under hot water. I found air pumping better than water pumping.
Objective was to improve EQ (success) and girth (possible, not verified), not terribly concerned about length.
Routine:
1. Pump to 10 in hg during 15 sec timeframe, hold for 30 sec, deflate. Repeat for a total of 10 sets (10 min).
2. Next 10 min set, increment vacuum by 1 in hg two sets each, so:
Pump to 11 over 15 sec, hold for 30 sec, deflate, repeat once
Pump to 12, hold for 30, deflate, repeat once
Follow this pattern, last set will be two cycles at 15.
3. I used silicon backed toe cushions cut to size to protect my circ area (just below glans to circ scar) for the last set. Do same as #1, but pump to 15 in hg each cycle instead of 10. Leave the toe cushion in place while I took a shower after, then took it off, usually no donut edema.
Design was to imitate erections per what is recommended post-prostate surgery for EQ but use vacuum sufficient to exceed bpel (15 in hg for me) to get some growth.
Since length and girth gains appeared not to stick, I may back off to 10 in hg max, holding for 1 minute and see how that goes per the typical post prostate surgery routine and use another method (clamping, extender) to try to get girth and length gains. Just thinking at this point. The EQ benefits are well worth the time for the pump.
It did take some time to get to 15, so alternatively I may just go back to my routine for another 6 months and see what happens with more time under full vacuum to 1/2 in beyond bpel. I was probably only 1 month or so at 15. Take it slow and avoid injury.
The girth increase is to make the mrs happy. Just fixing EQ already makes her happy, though.
