Are they all over the place?
Centralized to an area?
Large or small, like pencil lead or a pencil eraser?
What kind of tube-lube do you use?
What other kinds of PE do you do?
Have you heard of a fire roll?
How long have you been doing this?
You could be over thinking it. If they’re just little ones, like you dotted yourself with a red pen, I’d just move on and let them heal, in use. Stopping and restarting, is just chasing your tail. Healing to burst all over again. I almost always get a few, maybe 10 so tiny dots on my circumcision scar; when starting back from rest, but they’re gone within a few hours. I don’t see them again until restarting after my next rest period. As long as they’re not itching or getting worse, and you’re well conditioned, I wouldn’t worry about it.
If they’re large, like a pencil eraser or bigger, you might need to find another form of mechanical PE. Pumping doesn’t work for everyone.
If you really wanna know when and why:
Restart your pump routine from scratch. Do 1x10 for a week. 1x15 for a week. 1x20 for a week. If there’s no negative PI’s, go to 2x10 for a week. Keep adding time and sets like this until negative PI’s return. Then back off to the last session that didn’t cause problems. That’s your limit. This will also offer conditioned characteristics to your dick. Working it up to longer times and pressure.
That’s why someone else’s routine doesn’t mean “jack shit” to anyone but themselves. If you went straight to some of my routines, without conditioning and working up to it, you’d probably break it.
The key to pumping, and most PE for that matter, is a lot of patience, and working low and slow to get where you want to be. Don’t rush it. Get there safely and keep everything, even your gains.
